A uni with a great social scene, it has a huge number of students so you'll never be at a loss for finding friends and having a social life. This is especially great considering it's in Bristol, for those who haven't been before visit, it's a great city with an amazing nightlife, that is if you stay away from the obvious dives (oceana, syndicate, etc). The course for me (Law) is like many others i imagine at all universities, not much contact time, very little face time with lecturers, i think over a 3 year period only one lecturer knows me, and that's just my face, not my name. If you like independant learning to the extreme then you're in for a treat. Great facilities mind, a 24 hour library with access to loads of different databases. A good uni. Like most unis it's what you make of it. But if you're between UWE and some similiarly ranked uni elsewhere then come here just for the city. It'll be worth it. Peas
