Division into small campuses makes it a nice space, you are not stuck in one building the whole day but need to go outside if you need a workshop, food and etc. Unfortunately there is no a proper university canteen, small amount of choices and high prices , would be great to have a bigger university canteen where you can buy a proper lunch, instead of subway sandwich.

The best part of university experience is that I have support whenever I seek for help, my supervisors are the best. The worse experience is when I have to balance work, study and family time.. it adds pressure on me. But I am trying to balance it

What students say about pharmacy

The area has a very town-ish feel, not too busy with a very homely feel to it. Lecturers are very quick to respond to queries and always provide extremely helpful advice and explain things very well. One slight improvement would be the advertisements of all the societies we have at bangor, as I can’t seem to find the full list of things I can get involved in whilst here

So far everything is fine. The lecturers are really helpful and won't make you feel insecure about your knowledge. There is just some problems oh terms of timetable management, but for now everything seems great.

What students say about pharmacy

Chester, a charming city located in the northwest of England, offers a distinctive and enriching experience for students, making it an ideal destination for higher education. The city combines the best of both worlds: a rich history and modern educational opportunities, creating an environment that fosters academic achievement and personal growth. From its prestigious University of Chester to its vibrant cultural and historical landscape, Chester presents a unique setting for students to study, live, and thrive. At the heart of Chester’s appeal as a place of study is the University of Chester, one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1839, the university has evolved into a leading educational institution, providing a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs across various disciplines. The university’s focus on academic excellence is evident in its strong reputation for delivering high-quality education, with many programs designed to equip students with the practical skills needed for success in their chosen fields. The university boasts modern facilities, including state-of-the-art lecture halls, research labs, and libraries, which create an ideal environment for learning and intellectual development. In addition to this, its emphasis on employability ensures that students are well-prepared for the workforce. The university’s strong industry links provide students with opportunities for internships, work placements, and collaborative projects, which help them build practical experience alongside their academic studies. The smaller size of the University of Chester compared to larger institutions means that students often experience more personalized attention from academic staff. With smaller class sizes, students are able to engage more closely with their lecturers, benefiting from individualized feedback and guidance. This fosters a deeper academic relationship and enhances the overall learning experience. Moreover, the university has a strong commitment to supporting students, with services that include academic tutoring, career counseling, and mental health support. These services ensure that students feel well-supported throughout their academic journey and have access to the resources they need to succeed. The tight-knit community at the university also promotes a sense of belonging, which is a key factor in student satisfaction. The university’s student union plays a pivotal role in fostering this sense of community by offering a range of extracurricular activities, societies, and clubs. Whether students are interested in joining academic societies, engaging in sports, or participating in creative arts, there is something for everyone. These opportunities not only help students make new friends and form lasting connections but also allow them to develop skills outside the classroom. In addition to the University of Chester, the city is home to several other academic institutions, further enhancing its status as a center for learning. The city’s educational landscape is diverse, with specialized institutions focusing on areas such as business, healthcare, and the arts. This diversity means that students have access to a broad range of academic programs, ensuring that they can find a course that aligns with their interests and career aspirations. Furthermore, the city’s compact nature makes it easy for students to navigate their academic and social lives, with university buildings, student accommodations, and various amenities located within walking distance of one another. This ease of access contributes to Chester’s reputation as a student-friendly city, where students can focus on their studies while also enjoying the vibrant social life that the city has to offer. Beyond academics, Chester offers a rich cultural experience that enhances the student lifestyle.

What students say about pharmacy

My university experience had its highs and lows. The best part was the supportive academic environment, with passionate lecturers and plenty of resources like well-equipped libraries and study spaces. The vibrant campus life, with diverse clubs and events, made it a great place to meet people and grow personally. However, there were some downsides, like the high cost of living and occasional administrative delays, which could be frustrating. Improving affordability and streamlining student support services would make the experience even better overall.

What students say about pharmacy

I have access to pretty much anything I need in terms of equipment or facilities on campus. The campus itself is quite far for me but that's just unlucky, my main problems with the location can't be fixed by the university itself. It would be nice if there were cafes, stores or restaurants closer to the campus as the stores within campus are quite overpriced. There are technically two train lines you're able to take to get there but I haven't known anyone to ever take Jubilee probably due to the longer travel time and walk from station to campus. And having one line as an option to get to the campus can feel a little stressful sometimes.

The university is a great place to study with many advanced facilities and abundance of equipment for student use. However the location of the university might not be the safest in night time and may look abit outdated.

It's in a great location with walking distance of the town and shops. You can make lots of great friends and there's many societies for you to join like the Animated Movie and Series Society! What could be improved is there being more opportunities for students to make money and make a change.

Studying pharmacy

Pharmacology and pharmacy degrees primarily teach you how drugs and medicines interact with people’s bodies. Pharmacists play an important role in protecting health and wellbeing. On a pharmacy degree, you’ll cover topics including immunology, clinical drug development, cellular and molecular biology and toxins and toxicity. You’ll also learn how different drugs interact with each other. Most degrees in pharmacy will be accredited with the Royal Society of Biology or the Royal Society of Chemistry. After graduating, you may work as a pharmacist dispensing medicine, a clinical researcher, or a drug discovery consultant.
