The location isn't great, we are very close to all of the facilities with the work and studying happening in the same place but it is quite far away from any cities or any student activity. The course in general is very good though, the facilities and support , both academically and professionally, are excellent.

The course is taught entirely in person since joining in 2021 which is a big plus compared to my friends at other universities. There is not that much time in contact with tutors but the cohort is small enough that lecturer contact is very high.

It's in the middle of nowhere so there isn't much of a student life but there are a lot of dyson people which brings a sense of community.

Absolutely epic, everyone gets en suite and lots of kitchen space and facilities. Two ovens, two fridge-freezers and two dishwashers between 6-8. Double bed for everyone, little noise between rooms, look awesome, lots of dyson products dotted about.

The chance to study and work at the same time means that you can apply your learning in real time without waiting until you graduate. Dyson is an excellent company for this because of the large number of available teams in which to work and because they have taken great care in providing excellent facilities and student support for both the academic and workplace aspects of this Degree Apprenticeship.

The course is taught with two academic and three workplace days a week. This allows a nice balance during term with both progressing alongside each other unlike with block release. The two days of academic give time set aside to work on assignments and exam revision though extra time does need to be given to these on evenings and weekends as deadlines approach.

Malmesbury is a small town in the Cotswold so the public transport links and social opportunities limited. To counter this regular social buses and events are provided by the Dyson Institute. Some students choose to live in Bristol and commute which allows close access to a thriving and diverse city life.

The first year accommodation is the Dyson Village which is comprised of individual 'pods'. Each resident has a generous personal sleep pod with double bed, shower room and desk and then there are communal kitchen pods for a shared cooking dining experience.
