Best bits, all of it! I've loved the facilities, the openness and availability of lecturers and technicians and the friendliness of the School. The opening hours of the school are great and the on site cafe is good too. The School is situated in the creative part of town with plenty of bars and restaurants around and is close to the train station. The technicians have their own specialisms but work across different areas if you want to try something out or if you need help with something such as woodwork, pottery or photography, which is really helpful.

The course is in person for the most part, although there is some expectation (as everywhere) for motivational self study out of uni hours. Course hours were good, with plenty (almost too much!) contact time with lecturers and the building and resources are available outside of core hours as well. Personal workspace is a huge blessing and really appreciate by all the students I spoke to. Live assignments were a real bonus and lots of talks by industry experts which was a real benefit in preparing us the industry. The Course covers lots of techniques, and resources are excellent with a dye lab, 4 huge screen-printing tables, a sewing room and an awesome print room as well as an IT suite! Technicians are available with a wide range of skills and everyone has their own industry experience, and shares it, which is a real bonus. You get to try lots of different techniques early in the course, which you can refine as you progress, with plenty of support. Lecturers are really supportive and knowledgeable and they are willing to share their professional experiences which is really helpful.

I love uni. I’m having the time of my life and I’m so glad I chose CCAD. I went to another institution before that was quite frankly a joke; so when I moved here it was so nice and reassuring to find myself in a professional work environment surrounded by nice people and supportive staff.

Very. We have 5 days a week access to everything, and all of the facilities are up to date with the latest technology etc.

The tutors take an active interest in your work, so we get constant feedback and input. Student services offer everything you could possibly need and are incredibly supportive

The tutors push you to be an individual and perfect your own style. Sometimes the feedback it a bit too much criticism and not constructive.
