Studying acting at uni will help you improve your skills as an actor by helping to develop your dramatic talents and performance skills. You’ll learn about different acting techniques and be able to practice performance in real acting settings to help prepare you for your career. You could cover things like character development techniques, voice, accent and movement training, as well as learn about the history and culture of theatre and film and how to be successful in auditions. Because of the range of skills you learn on an acting course, graduates go on to work in various creative industries, including film, TV, advertising, radio and digital media. Some specific job roles include actor, director, playwright, TV presenter and radio host.
