The campus has a really nice feel as it is small and open. It is just out of a village which allows the campus to be open to the countryside with a lot of green spaces on site, there are also some good walks from the campus. Even though it is out of the village there is good transport links into town, there is a shuttle bus organised by the Uni that goes into town frequently every day (including weekends), and a public bus service stops immediately outside the campus. There is also plenty of parking on site for those who can drive an would like to bring their car. The teaching staff have all been nice and very knowledgeable so far, the vet med corse has a good structure which has obviously had a lot of thought put into it. I also like how they do their best to put everyone on an equal footing (whether on a knowledge base or in terms of equipment) regardless of background. Something that could be improved is having a better shop on site as there are no other shops close due to the location (closest ones are a 40 minute walk or 10 minute drive). The campus shop mostly stocks crisps, chocolate bars, drinks, a few hygine/general health products (ie deodorant and paracetamol), and a little bit of milk. It could do with having a greater range of products to allow those living on campus to consider doing bits of shopping there (especially if they don't drive) so it is more on the scale of an express shop in a supermarket chain.

A wide range of teaching methods including lectures, tutorials, practical classes (some lab based, some animal handling, and a few clinical skills based), and online learning on Wednesday mornings. High contact hours with lots of opportunities to talk with lecturers as they often run our practical sessions. Range of assessment types including spot tests, written exams, written assignments, and case reports. Course structure is very good, the modules run through the entire year in 2 week blocks covering different topics in these blocks (eg different body systems in anatomy and physiology). However, there is a lot of content to learn so you can't really be eased into the course at the beginning and days when you travel to the other uni campus are long (during anatomy and physiology blocks everyone is at Keele Uni 2 days a week, then during animal management blocks everyone is at Harper Adams Uni 2 days a week). A bus is provided for students on travel days free of charge which leaves at 7:30 am and returns between 6:15 and 6:30pm.

Pretty good value for money - £145 a week for an en suite room, common areas (kitchen and corridor) cleaned every weekday and rooms cleaned every Wednesday. Good size desk to work at, plenty of storage, and plenty of floor space to move around in. Bathroom is a good size. There is only 1 undercounter cupboard and a drawer each in the kitchen (as well as 1 fridge and 1 freezer shelf each), so not huge amounts of space to store things but if you are smart with it is more than enough.
