Studying English Language

English Language degrees focus on the way in which English has evolved over time and so while it might seem like an easy degree to study, students will delve into the finer points of spoken language. This includes syntax, lexis, grammar and tenses as well as historical and social context. Career opportunities are plentiful with an English Language degree. Teaching in primary and secondary schools are common career paths, but graduates may also pursue jobs in journalism, marketing and public relations.
