Overall, I feel like I've had a fantastic 3 years here. It's a great uni, well ranked, with the number one students union for a reason. Sheffield is a fantastic city and it's a safe place to be.
The University of Sheffield is a world-top 100 university and a member of the prestigious Russell Group. Not only is Sheffield one of the safest large cities in the UK, it’s also one of the top 10 most affordable UK university cities.
Known as the ‘Green City’, it also boasts an impressive 250 parks and green spaces with over 2 million trees, and is one of the greenest cities in Europe.
The university offers a diverse range of courses with hi-tech, hi-spec facilities, where students can learn in cutting-edge environments with industry-leading tutors.
“Fantastic welcoming community, beautiful city with lots of access to the countryside. Department made everybody feel welcome and it's a super place to live. Loads of student societies, and lots of ways to get involved with the uni and with the Sheffield community!” Susanna
“Sheffield is a great place to study as it's in-between too big and too small. It's a city so the night life is interesting enough to engage outgoing students yet it's small enough that other students won't be intimidated. Some facilities are truly impressive like the make space in the Diamond.” Isaiah
“Great SU nights and events and so many societies. Campus is nice and the city is a good night out.” Eleanor
