Media Studies HND/HNC degrees

One of the best parts of studying at Roehampton University is the friendly and supportive environment. The lecturers explain topics clearly and are always willing to help when students have questions. The campus is peaceful, with good facilities like the library, study rooms, and social spaces, which makes it a comfortable place to learn. I also enjoy meeting classmates from different countries and backgrounds because it helps me learn new ideas and understand different cultures. The teaching style at Roehampton makes learning easier and more enjoyable. Seminars and group activities help me understand the lessons better, and the coursework is practical, helping me connect what I learn to real-life situations. I feel that the university encourages students to think independently and build confidence. Overall, I feel supported in my studies, and this has helped me grow both academically and personally. Even though my experience has been positive, there are some areas that could improve. Sometimes the workload feels heavy, especially when deadlines are close together. Communication about certain tasks or readings can be unclear at times. More career support, part-time job opportunities, and more flexible timetables would also make things easier for students. However, these challenges are common in most universities, and Roehampton still offers a good overall student experience.

It’s the university of the future, same timetable everyday, so you can build a routine and schedule around it. You feel more like a person than just a number, unlike other universities. They get to know you personally. There are also so many career opportunities and social events throughout the blocks.

I am working full time and Currently studying a HNC in Business, at the University centre Wakefield. I was Originally only going to do the HNC but I have found the staff all very helpful and easy to get along with, you are treated like an individual and the tutors always make time for you, if you went to a big university you wouldn't get this.So I have decided to do the HND and the top up degree also The bonus with the tuition fee's is also very good as I would be paying 9000 a year to do the same course at a big University. I would recommend University centre Wakefield to anyone :-)

Walsall College is a great place to learn. Its an environment where you are supported and guided to the best form of success. The tutors are very knowledgeable and there is a great balance where you can bounce ideas off a mixture of talents. I can only speak for the Media department as this is where I learnt and did my Level 3, HNC and HND qualifications. You have access to state of the art technology and in an environment that promotes your growth as a student and for your future in the creative media sector. You are gifted with lots of industry talks from leading talents in their departments. Walsall college has a lot to offer but you have to make the most of it.
