Sort:Latest reviewsBuildings feel very clinical and location of the university in a town centre with very limited parking causes a lot of stress in the mornings specially for mature students who have to drop Off children at school before classes Very disorganised organisation with constant changes throughout the 3 years and limited equipment to practice for such big cohort of students even when they are divided in groups Poor support for medical students expecting them to carry out 80% of the studies alone, with only library resources as guidance and poor explanation from lectures using very basic PowerPoints. Lectures have been paramedics; nurses and healthcare professionals themselves therefore more is expected from university to educate students properly and support them into such challenging jobs which would give them a better start and more confidence and ultimately better care for Patients.

Teesside university is a great place to study because of its accessibility. The library has extensive resources both in person and online allowing all students to access any information they may need, and also provides a large useful place to do this. The campus is modern, spacious and has plenty of space to sit, study and socialise, with plenty of amenities such as lifts to make sure everyone can get around with ease. My only suggestion for improvement would be more car parking spaces as these are often filled by 8am.
Teesside has a really beautiful campus and a great community, so it’s easy to make friends and get involved. There are lots of clubs and activities, which makes uni life more fun. The gym is nice, though some of the equipment could be more modern, and the uni computers are generally great, even if they sometimes break. It’s a bit frustrating that we can’t install software ourselves, but overall the facilities support both study and projects really well.
