Our collection of real, honest student reviews of unis and courses is the largest in the UK, and help you make well-informed decisions about your future. Generally positive, only really let down by the occasional difficult lecturer. The support in every area is there for you but socially, I highly recommend going elsewhere. There's a wetherspoons next to the uni that is cheaper than the SU in every area and the food is better quality
The uni is in the middle of a huge update, so the facilities are getting better and better all the time
The academic support is entirely down to the tutor. One of my current tutors does an outstanding job and can't do enough to help us (Thanks, Justin!). But others can struggle to take criticism in our module revuews and find it inconvenient if we don't understand straight away rather than trying to help. I havent made use of the personal services but I'm aware of their availability
In my opinion, the Student Union is really helpful when it comes to supporting students but the facilities are a bit lacking. The bar is also very overprice compared to other unis which makes it the last place I'd go for a night out
Town centre location is ideal with plenty of parking and not a long commute from my home in Guisborough
Plenty of choice and the free trials available make it easy to join in
For the most part, lecturers are very good, I just wish timetabling was better. Some days I can have a class grom 9am-11am then have to wait around until 3 or 4pm for my next class, which is a bit of a pain when you don't live locally

Teesside offers plenty of options. The Volun-tees system gives us a huge number of volunteering opportunities and the career department have made themselves known from our very first week
My BA at Teesside was incredible and I loved every minute of it, so I signed on for the MA to give myself some breathing space to decide my future, to put it bluntly, I wish I hadn't signed up for the course. The MA in my opinion is not put together well, I had believed we could study in regards to our own interests more than in a set modular form, we spent first term studying something I have little to no interest in, and when it came to the second term our Negotiated Learning Module had to be different to our dissertation topic so had to choose something entirely different, the NLM, although I achieved a good grade, was challenging as I had no real contact with my tutor as they were not readily available for me. This year has been stressful and very difficult at times, but I would like to thank the majority of my lecturers for being there and helping me as I think I may have thrown in the towel without them.
They're quite good, but not the best I have seen
Our tutors were both amazing and lazy in equal measure. Some of our lecturers would be there for you immediately and always willing to help, but others were more illusive and were rarely present.

I studied both Undergraduate and Postgraduate at Teesside and had a mixed experience, my BA was incredible, we were taught amazingly by the tutors and lecturers but the MA was entirely different, I personally don't believe there was enough support there.

We had a few employability sessions, but they were pretty pointless.
Really pleased with the services the university has to offer
