Great location with a good student life (both nightlife and daytime activities), the staff are experts in their fields and always willing to help. Accommodation is good and for a fair price, it also includes a free gym and access to campus life which allows you to do a variety of things for example, a trip to Chester Zoo or a free dinner night. More open/group work study spaces would be better as the current ones are always busy.

The lectures are always interesting with lecturers who are passionate about their subject, the contact hours vary but it keeps things interesting as you can go from lectures to lab work to being in the field. Some modules are blended learning requiring online learning before attending a workshop/lab.

The older halls are great value for money, you get an ensuite room with a nice amount of room for a good price, the kitchens are shared between eight and there is plenty of cupboard space, all halls have a mentor who checks the kitchen weekly and is available if you have any problems. There are two onsite laundrettes in Ffriddoedd village, a security office, a mail room, parcel lockers and a gym. The gym membership is free when you stay in halls. You also have access to campus life when you stay in halls which is one of the main benefits, campus life put on all sorts of free events for students including trips, cooking classes, film nights, and fitness sessions, this really helps to fill time at Uni, especially weekends
