The best aspects of uni experience at Bangor is the student life and societies. Everyone is very inclusive and there are many opportunities to meet people and make friends at campus life events and different societies and clubs. The area of bangor is also nice, good scenery and charity shops, though less big stores. Halls were a good place to make friends coming here not knowing anyone. My lecturers have been mostly helpful and there is lots of support put in by the uni if you need extra help with studies etc.

In my first year my course was 2 thirds online and 1 third in person, my second year is all in person and recordings of lecturs are uploaded if you miss anything. There is lots of opportunity to speak to each of my lecuters in their weekly meetings if I have a query or concern. However I have had zero contact with my personal tutor and they have never reached out to me to set up a meeting either in my first or second year.

The thing I liked the least about halls was the shower, I had an en suit bathroom and there wasn't much space in the shower, sometimes making it difficult. Halls was a great place to make friends, I didn't know anyone when I joined so I made my first friends with my flatmates. There is also a lot of events put on by the uni around the halls campus so there was lots to do. The location of my halls on ffriddoed site was good, its close to the main university building and there is also bar uno and the gym/sports building. The societies are also now held above bar uno so it is convenient to get there. I experienced some technical problems, such as my door not locking when I first arrived, however the maintenance team is close by and can fix whatever problem.

Free student car parking near main university building would have been good as this would be of benefit for disabled students. Communication channels could have been better especially for 1st year students trying to get information to register and get timetable.
