Studying location nestled between the lush mountains and the North Wales coast! The building makes you feel like you have stepped into Hogwarts. I have loved my course and with the support from my lecturers, I feel fully prepared to embark on my future career. However, there University lacks adequate practical study space (other than library) where students are free to study, regroup and prepare themselves lunch or make a brew! Furthermore, whilst I believe the University and the union provide excellent services for onsite students, I feel that there is room for improvement to enhance the experience for commuting students. Overall, I would recommend Bangor University to anyone looking for a good quality study experience in beautiful Cymru!

Fantastic location if you like the outdoors Really knowledgeable and helpful lecturers, and excellent student support Bangor city has lots of good pubs and cafes but there are only two clubs, so out-out choices aren't great

Course is taught with a mix of in-person lectures and field trips, which is great for a practical course You can choose your own honours project, which is fantastic The university is very supportive of placements and has strong connections to lots of companies in the industry There aren't many people on the course so you get a lot of contact time and support Much of the group work is randomly assigned groups, so you often end up with people you don't know or work well with

St Mary's is fairly new, so it's easy to clean and high quality I had a room that shared a bathroom with one other person, which really dropped the price from an en-suite You get gym membership included with the fees You get to choose a room instead of having it allocated The gym is small - you have to go to Ffriddoedd halls if you want a decent gym The internet does occasionally drop out, but not usually for long
