Bangor University caters very well for a variety of degrees and study areas and is world renown for its psychology, sports science and Marine biology. The university holds an extensive collection of student run clubs and societies as well as university organised programmes and regimes. Sports clubs are generally free to join up. The location is unbelievable, with mountains Fresh air, and the sea itself! While located in a small city, there are plenty of places to eat and Bangor is constantly exploring new things and expanding.

Recent overhauls in the student access to IT//printing and other facilities has been received very well. Bangor university is always trying to stay on top of the current information technology updates.

The student support is snappy and efficient. I had never found myself waiting longer than 3 days for any matter be it small or large. Within the university and degrees, there will be a student lead comitee that serves to bring information across from lecturers and students and ensure that information is being properly received by everyone involved, no matter how high up the chain!

Bangor student Union is a helpful and delightful place to be. It makes no situation too small to take on and ensures that everyone has a say in everything.

Bangor is the City of Learning. While there is a city/night life out there, its mostly orientated around going out for tea/ coffee or having a meal out somewhere. There are plenty of pubs in Bangor, (used to be 50+ , now closer to 45). Many trips will be spent to the surrounding towns as they too have attractions such as piers, and beaches that studetns will want to visit. The mountains are also a fantastic day time trip.

Many many many clubs and societies for practically everything. Spoiled for choice i believe is the phrase here, and they are kept alive by successors each and every year. The clubs and Societies lie at the heart of what makes Bangor such a special place.

The lecturers and Courses tend to glue together fairly well. Although as with many universities, some slight hiccups in organisation make for some uncomfortable early morning rises.

For many degrees the propsects of finidng a job are liberally detailed. A Student will typically find themselves under a heap of information on the matter by the end of their degree.

Accomodation is extensive and well deserved of its reputation. Both locale and logistics are expertly found. On site restrictions are quite stringent as they value the students safety quite highly.
