Amazing location with easy access to the outdoors but not the greatest location for accessibility however as Bangor is very hilly. There a lot of societies with a sense of community and belonging.

Sometimes the classes are reading off PowerPoint slides which could be done way quicker in ones own time. Some of the classes are lectures are big (400 people) so its hard to ask thing when you don't understand something. Contact with tutors is only once a month and so can be a bit difficult to talk to them when we have a problem.

Quite pricy (160 per week) for what they are and sometimes have a clinical hospital feel especially the corridors and common areas. Very good sized rooms with a big bed and lots of space. The underbed storage is so helpful but it may try to take you out with how heavy the mattress is not great for accessibility.

Bangor is the best university in the UK simply because of its location. Actually living IN Bangor is horrific, the night life is terrible, its a very small place to live and it can feel very bleak. But, the access to the mountains makes it worth it. Plus the level of tuition is pretty damn good.

My course is incredible, field trips at least once a month, an extremely diverse course, incredible experienced and proficient lecturers (minus a few) and an excellent place to study it in. However after first year there's is literally no tutor contact and you are basically in your own unless you reach out and beg

The access to the outdoors is absolutely incredible, there isn't a better university for climbers, bikers, walkers, kayakers etc... But it's terrible for everything else. Bangor is a cesspit of crime and it is extremely difficult to find a job

My view of my halls is heavily biased because I lived there during heavy Covid restrictions 2020/2021 so there was absolutely no campus life activities and most of all the gym was closed. The quality of the accommodation itself is exceptional, the wifi is great. HOWEVER, the lift in my building was broken for about three months. And my bike and several others were stolen from the locked bike shed we payed for and the University lied about reporting it to the police and refused compensation. So yeah actually the halls department at bangor, while their buildings are nice their customer service is absolutely terrible.
