Everything is great here in Bangor. All of the staff and the students are very friendly. I rated one start less is because I don't really like the weather here but other than that this is a great place for learning.
Everything I wanted in a university, the general atmosphere and feel of the university buildings and town are perfect for my needs and the area is great for sports.
Bangor Uni overall is very homely as it's quite small compared to other city universities which I think is better for students leaving home for the first time. The Uni works hard to make sure students settle in, hosting different events. The lectures go over important info and certain quizzes throughout each semester allowing you to know how you're doing and if you need to go over certain subjects. Each module has a module evaluation which lecturers encourage us to fill as the Uni does take into account what we say and change anything which doesn't work for us as students.
The university has many support systems but really its the atmosphere made by the people and location that make this university specail. in addition to this the lecturers are really supportive. In particular SENRGy has a particully good peer guiding system that makes you feel like another of the big school family.
I believe that the university does well for students and helps them to get involved in sports and societies. Also, I think that they help the students by having a fortnight that helps them with housing
Brilliant University! The University has up to date technology, and teaching staff who know all about their subjects and enjoy teaching. The University city is quite small, so you are able to go out into the main high street and are bound to see someone you know from clubs, societies or from your lectures. The Students Union are always trying to help the students by talking to the University to give us more, or to help change different areas.
The student atmosphere is great! The place is small enough so if you don't know someone, one of your friends will! Teaching is done very well, and seminar groups are really useful!
Bangor is a great uni, all the clubs and societies are free and easy to get involved. The night life isn't as good as bigger cities. If Bangor can even be considered a city (it has everything but is a bit on the small side). Most of my lecturers are excellent and there's always help if you need it.
It's the best place in the world. Everyone is very positive and outgoing and are always there if you are in need. The material is easy to understand and well presented. The lecturers and staff are amazing and are happy to answer you questions. Bangor is one of the most beautiful places in the world - the pier, the view of Snowdonia, Menai Bridge and if you're on the shopping side - why not try the hustle and bustle of the High Street - there is always something you can find.
Because Bangor is not a city, the university always have some interesting events which are great time to spend time with my friends and also to gain as my experiences.
This university is in the best location for outdoorsy people, and even if you're not you can still enjoy it. The staff are really friendly and the library is well equipped and well run. The main university building is the best place for lectures with its spectacular architecture. I recommend Bangor to any student its been the best experience of my life and I've met the most amazing people. It's also one of the cheapest places to live out of any university in the UK.
Bangor University has a fantastic atmosphere! It is super friendly, and all the staff are incredibly approachable and happy to help with any problems you may have!
Great uni supportive staff, facility's are spot on, Grear range of courses and subjects :) all contained within one small city so everything is walkable to whic saves money, nice halls and common rooms
If you like small cities and being surrounded by students 24:7, Bangor is the place to be! However, like many unis, it has its flaws. Within the psychology department there are definitely modules that need some vast improvement, however others that are so well taught and inspiring that they make it actually fun to attend.
Bangor University has a fantastic atmosphere and a wonderful place to study. The Students and Athletics Unions have free membership, but this doesn't stop sports clubs from excelling despite being from a small university. Courses are everything you expect them to be and more, with endless opportunities offered continuously as soon as you arrive. University accommodation is the best I've seen, and there are many amazing student houses in Bangor.
I enjoy my studies at Bangor University very much. Lovely small town, lovely scenery and great courses. The university offers many possibilities and has some outstanding opportunities!
Bangor is perceived as being a small university in the middle of nowhere, which is only partially true. Although the student population is smaller than most universities (around 9000 on-site students - DON'T believe the 23,000 figure the league tables come up with...), the student population outweighs the native population heavily, which makes it feel like the whole "city" is full of students. This is quite nice as you always feel safe and at home in Bangor. Bangor is a very... unique university. The type of students that come here are in a very different class of their own - they have to be, to be willing to go somewhere very individual! Bangor is a very friendly university, and the experience you have here is very different to other universities. It's hard to describe, but to put it simply; Bangor is a small place - you can't blend into the background. For that reason, it is not suited to students who want to be quiet and ignored. The student population is an eclectic mix of people from all over the world who share a common interest in relaxed, outgoing student living. The area is beautiful - it's like living on a permanent holiday! There's loads to do but not too much, just the perfect amount.
Bangor University is very supportive of its students. The staff are all friendly and approachable. The courses are of high quality and the student life is great for such a small city
Great university, all the staff are friendly and welcoming. All members of staff encountered are always happy to help and offer as much support as they can. The facilities offered by the university are up to standard and are worth the money spent on them. There is a great night life in the city and there are always people out and about to help you along your university life.

I am studying Accounting and Finance in Bangor University. At first, I have to say the Bangor Business School is really a very good choice. The teachers here are friendly and really teach us a lot, the lectures have a really high level of quality. They are willing to answer our questions and give us the latest examples as well. Then, the environment in this small town is excellent, I like hiking and riding bike.
