Staff are friendly and supportive, older students are more than happy to help freshers as can be seen through the peer guiding system; and best of all Main Arts is Bangors very own Hogwarts!
Fantastic staff, enthusiastic and inventive learning. Most varied degree I could have ever experienced. I've experienced so many fantastic opportunities that I could never have experienced elsewhere. They've prepared me so well for the future.
Lectures and lecturers are fantastic and full of knowledge. The city and night life is great, such a good and safe night out. There are so many clubs and societies, some you've never heard of before and unlike other universities, they are all free. Absolutely fantastic overall.
Fantastic! Loved my time in Bangor. Fantastic University. Loved all of my modules. Brilliant staff. Lovely location. Made some great friends. And of most importantly I graduated in LLM Law with Criminology
There is a Really friendly atmosphere, there are lots of societies to get involved in and it is set in a A beautiful location. Student accommodation is good with plenty of other available for your second and third year
When looking at the undergraduate degree of psychology, I think Bangor is a very good university. It provides a thorough insight into many different area's of psychology, giving everyone a path to go down. The sporting prowess of the university is also something that is highly rated in my eyes, there seems to be genuine effort that goes into the organisation of the sports as well as incredible talent at the disposal of the university.
Hogwarts-esque buildings, amazing nightlife and plenty of student support, Bangor University is an amazing place to study and experience the Welsh culture. With clubs and societies ranging from Quidditch to American Football, along with a student-led night helpline and lecturers who are never too busy, students feel supported but not smothered.
A really good student community that interacts with the community actively. Its is a warm and welcoming place to live. It's has been the best experience ever! I have made some great and kind friends. I have loved every mintute of university. The staff has helped and supported me are great people.
Bangor University caters very well for a variety of degrees and study areas and is world renown for its psychology, sports science and Marine biology. The university holds an extensive collection of student run clubs and societies as well as university organised programmes and regimes. Sports clubs are generally free to join up. The location is unbelievable, with mountains Fresh air, and the sea itself! While located in a small city, there are plenty of places to eat and Bangor is constantly exploring new things and expanding.
Friendly, great atmosphere, excellent lecturers and great all round facilities. Lots of things to do especially as an active person, nights out are great! it is very safe city and it is very cheap to live its not been a problem living off my student loan.
Amazing University. Very little I would want to improve, and lecturers and University are happy to change things. Really easy to work for the university if you need to make a bit of extra money. Fantastic place to study
Brilliant university, that supports us and encourages us to grow. The lecturers are brilliant, they love what they do and they inspire us too. The assignments are well distributed throughout the year and they are well explained and marked. Support is always there, be it student or university led. The night life is not the strongest point, but being such a small town it isn't surprising. The surroundings are absolutely magnificent, being surrounded by the mountains and having the Menai Strait only a few minutes away. I love it!
The university has a great atmosphere to it with everything being so close. The city is very friendly and small enough to walk everywhere, which great as you never need to pay for a taxi!
Great location. Great People. Great teaching. Great atmosphere. Great University. I love Bangor. I looked at many others but looking back I am so pleased I chose Bangor.
From the city? want something new? bangor is the place, lots for places to eat and go out to socialise. In second year you can get really nice houses very close to your university buildings and you know everyone in your year.
Bangor university is a great all round university with every stage to uni helped with advice and guidance. I would advice anyone to check out Bangor university on open days to see how this seemingly small uni can make a big impact!
A all round excellent university!! has an amazing variety of course and teaching quality. The Uni offer many opportunist to its students such as free sports and free language and extra curricular courses. The university offer a lot of help and support for students through out their stay at Bangor. Bangor is a well connected city with railway and easy motorway access. With many well rewound courses such as the school of psychology and ocean science, Bangor is an excellent university for all new studants
Such a great uni, not the most amazing night life but it's good!!! the course is great (studying zoology), all of the staff are really friendly and helpful!! The people here are really awesome too, such a friendly atmosphere. The new accommodation isn't too shabby either!!
I have loved my first year at bangor university. It has been great to be able to experience the opportunities available to me within just one semester, and I look forward to seeing what is possible here in the years to come.

Beautiful scenery surrounding a small, low-fuss city. A bit out-of-the-way of things, and it lacks in-house entertainment, but it's perfect if you love the outdoors and would rather not get swallowed up by a huge, bustling city centre. Shelter from the mountains and the coast means the winter is not as harsh as other places. Plenty of water-sports and various hiking/climbing/mountain biking activities. Plenty of public transport to other main places, like Anglesey, Llandudno, Caernarfon, and Betws-Y-Coed.
