The teachers are the most friendliest people on earth, and the whole environment feels very student-friendly, but i would have loved if they also had an dedicated research team, as well as their made their online learning easier to access and understand
I think there should be students taking part in enthusiastic engagement with each other in order to create more warm atmosphere. In this way, international students can enjoy their campus life more valuably and happily.
The supportive and engaging academic environment is great, the facilities for creative courses are very well-maintained and bower Ashton feels welcoming and inspiring which I find extremely important as a creative individual. The teaching staff are knowledgeable and approachable, the lecturers are genuinely invested in students progress. There is a strong sense of creativity and independence encouraged across the courses which helps students develop both academically and personally. Student life is active there’s a good range of societies, events and opportunities to meet people from diverse backgrounds. Overall, the university provides a positive and motivating environment that supports learning, growth, creativity and community. While the overall experience is positive, student support services could be more consistently accessible especially during busy academic periods.
For me what makes it a great place is the environment and the students of this university. Everyone here is friendly and communicative. Plus the professors of my modules are really understanding and I can easily communicate with them if and when need. For me everything is as good as it is but if speaking about improvement then I would say that there are many international students here who are on a budget. So if the university creates like a credit system to buy things within the university shops which then can be taken from the tuition fees that international students pay, then I would say it would be a much better. But overall, cost wise and any other aspects, UWE Bristol is a great university.
A great place to study for me is the library the quiet section especially. The environment and how it feels calms one down. There is great WiFi, tables and seats that are comfortable. The only thing I would say to improve is making it stricter in the quiet section that no talking or group discussions are allowed in that section because it’s easy to get distracted they have a space for talking so people can go there. And Ano’s adding a food machine close to the library because I like to read and study.
Overall, my experience at the university has been very positive. The facilities are modern and well maintained, with plenty of study spaces, libraries, and resources that support both academic and group work. The campus has a welcoming atmosphere and feels safe, inclusive, and well organised. Student support services are helpful, especially for international students, and staff are generally approachable and supportive. Student life is active, with lots of societies, events, and opportunities to meet people from different backgrounds, which really helps with settling in. One area that could be improved is communication around some administrative processes, as responses can sometimes take longer than expected during busy periods. However, overall the quality of education, campus environment, and student experience make it a great place to study.
Meeting friends is one of the best experinces in uni, there's no bank support for students in glenside and for new students who may not have bus pass that would be troblesome. Hence the university should provide bank support for glenside campus students as well.
I love how help is easily accessible and how students won’t worry if they get lost. I love the look of the university as it’s quite clean and how helpful every staff member is. The only thing I think I consider kind of a problem is how long processing my deliveries take.
Supportive
Uni is very much a mixed experience—highs and lows at the same time. On the good side, you get a lot of independence, which feels empowering but also helps you mature quickly. Learning new things, especially when modules are engaging, can be genuinely exciting, and meeting people from different backgrounds broadens your perspective. There are moments where you feel motivated, inspired, and confident about your future, which makes the whole experience feel worth it. At the same time, the pressure is real. Workloads can pile up fast, deadlines overlap, and stress becomes part of daily life. Not every class is interesting, and some systems feel inefficient or impersonal. Balancing academics, social life, and mental health isn’t easy, and comparison with others can be draining. Overall, uni sits right in the middle—it pushes you, challenges you, and sometimes overwhelms you, but it also gives you growth, memories, and skills you wouldn’t get anywhere else.
UWE is a great place to study espeically when it is about practical programmes . They provide career oriented programmes. UWE maintain strong link with Industry. Student Union of UWE is great place to have fun especially when you are an international student because you will meet with so many people from different parts of the world. The environment of UWE is diverse.
The teaching staff are wonderful and helpful, they take time to make sure every student understands what they are teaching and try their best to answer all questions thrown at them. The facilities are also really good here but student life on campus can be boring sometimes as there is not much to do on campus. There are barely any events going on campus and the atmosphere can be dead sometimes on campus which can bring down your mood down sometimes but at least we can go out and have fun with friends so it balances out.
i think what makes a great place to study is the student support system.
As an International student at UWE Bristol,i have had a mixture of experinces ,and below are my best aspects as follows; >Support Services , excellent support for international students, including orientation programs and academic guidence. >Campus facilities ;modern facilities ,libraries ,and resources enhance the learning experience . >Location ,Bristol's vibrant city life ,with its cultural events and job opportunities ,is a great backdrop for studies. >Joining UWE Women's Football has been an incredible experience, As a sports enthusiast,I've loved being part of a tight knit community , pushing myself in trials, and learning from the team, weekly practices and trail games have been a thrill .Grateful for this opportunity and excited to see where it takes me. Worst Aspects >Initial settlement Challanges ,As a person adapting to new environment is tricky ,culture and education systerm can be so tough >Housing Issues , Finding affordable ,quality accomodation , especiallly in this first year ,can be stressful . >Academic Pressure ,Meeting academic expectations ,especially with different teaching styles , can be dauting . >Visa and Administrative Hurdles ,Dealing with complex visa requirements and university bureaucracy can be overwhemling . >Cultural Adjustment ,Missing family and friends back home , and adjusting to local customs and social norms On the otherside in conclusion, UWE Bristol's strengths include its diverse community ,supportive service , and industry focused courses. The university's campus facilities like at frenchay my campus ,and Bristol location also offer a great blend of academic and social opportunities . To improve , some areas to consider are as below; >Academic support , additional resources for students adjusting to different teaching easier styles >Career opportunities ,More industry connections and job placements support for international students. >Cultural intergration , More events and iniatiatives to help international students connect with local culture and students. >Streamlined admin processes,Simplifying Visa and adminstrative tasks for international students . >UWE could consider reducing international tuition fees, which are ooverwhelming .Many students struggle to pay the balance or even in time ,impacting their stabilty .A more affordable fee structurewould greatly support international students academic succes.
The best aspect is the looks and feels of the university. And the worst part is the student support.

UWE Bristol offers a supportive learning environment with helpful lectures and well-structured courses. The campus facilities and online learning platforms are easy to use and support independent study well. However, communication and feedback could sometimes be clearer and more consistent, especially during busy assessment periods. Overall, it is a good place to study and develop both academic and practical skills.
UWE Glenside is a great place to study because of its calm, green campus, supportive staff, and excellent health-focused facilities that make learning practical and hands-on. The friendly atmosphere makes it easy to feel welcome and focused. It could be improved with better transport links, more social spaces, and upgraded accommodation, but overall it’s a lovely and inspiring place to study.

UWE Bristol is a great place to study because it offers strong academic support, modern facilities, and a welcoming learning environment. The university focuses on practical, career-focused learning, which helps students develop real-world skills. Facilities such as the library, study spaces, and online learning resources support independent study. UWE also values inclusivity and student wellbeing, making students feel supported and respected. UWE could be improved by offering more personalised feedback and increased one-to-one support from tutors. Expanding quiet study spaces during busy periods would benefit students. Clearer communication about assessments and deadlines could reduce stress. More placement opportunities and stronger links with employers would further improve students’ learning and career preparation.
At UWE Bristol, my course is taught through blended learning, combining in-class lectures, seminars, and online activities. This approach works well because it allows flexibility while still providing face-to-face interaction, which supports understanding and discussion. Teaching sessions are structured and linked clearly to assessments, helping students manage their workload
