Students and tutor helps me a lot, also information point. So far from city center. But good communication by buses.
campus facilities, helpful instructors and their guidelines and so many fun activties have been making my uni experience amazing , feeling grateful for choosing uni as Uwe.
There are around 200 students in total, but the system is very helpful and the guidance is personally involved with each individual. Especially in laboratory work, we are divided into small groups of around 15 students, so we can get all the help and support we need.
The best thing about UWE is, of course, the facilities and modern university atmosphere it offers. I love that UWE has a different standard in terms of campus, and the students' union is one of the best in the UK (believe me, even the Russell Group students' unions aren't as fun and active). I'm so glad I chose UWE as my undergraduate university. The worst aspect would be that there are not enough halal food options inside the campus; there are a few, but not enough.
My experience at UWE Bristol has been extremely positive overall. One of the best aspects of the university is its strong focus on practical learning and employability. The courses are well structured, industry-relevant, and supported by knowledgeable lecturers who are approachable and genuinely invested in student success. The modern facilities, especially the libraries, labs, and study spaces, create an excellent environment for learning. UWE also offers great support services, including academic guidance, wellbeing support, and career development, which really helps students feel supported throughout their studies. The campus life is vibrant and inclusive, with a wide range of societies, events, and opportunities to meet people from diverse backgrounds. Bristol itself is a fantastic city to study in, offering great transport links, cultural activities, and career opportunities. In terms of improvement, some administrative processes could be more efficient, as responses can occasionally be slow during busy periods. Additionally, accommodation availability and costs can be challenging, especially for new students. However, these issues do not take away from the overall quality of education and student experience. Overall, UWE Bristol is a great place to study, offering a supportive academic environment, excellent facilities, and strong career prospects.
Everything is fine with my uni
The best thing about my uni experience has definitely been the teaching staff – they’re genuinely nice, approachable, and really care about helping you understand the material. The facilities are also well maintained; the lecture theatres, libraries, and labs are always clean, modern, and properly equipped, which makes studying a lot more enjoyable. Overall it’s created a really positive environment to learn in.
best uni for the people who love quite environment
The campus and course are very diverse. It is amazing to meet people from different backgrounds and ages, and get to know their stories. The campus staff are also very kind and friendly. What could be improved is the facilities they offer at the Glenside campus since the area is very secluded and boring.
I like how my course is structured and very relevant. The engineering building is very nice too, we have multiple labs for different modules which is pretty fun.
Bristol is a great and vibrant city with amazing student life. However international student support could be improved.
UWE was one of my options when it came to studying arts. The first time I went to the university was to have a small tour and get to know the career I was interested in better. The people who received me that day were very nice to me; they answered all my questions and gave me enough information to know about the facilities and the course I was going to apply to. As an art student, I do not study on the main campus but in the art one. I really like the facilities there and all the campus has to offer when it comes to workshops and materials for art students. I think what I like the most about the campus is the little art shop they offer us, where we can find all kinds of resources we might need throughout the year; along with this, they offer very good prices you cannot normally get in an art shop. The only thing I find a bit complex to understand at times is the way the schedules are managed since they tend to change, but they normally warn you about this change on the other platform that the university uses. The bad thing is that this app does not really send you notifications at times, so there are times one gets confused. Taking all this into account, the university is managed correctly. I really like all the different things they offer to us, from workshops to student support.
Overall, my university experience has been positive. The best aspect is the supportive academic environment, especially the lecturers, who are knowledgeable and approachable. The campus facilities and library resources are very helpful, and there are good opportunities for personal development, societies, and networking. I also appreciate the diverse and inclusive atmosphere, which makes international students feel welcome. However, there are some areas that could be improved. Communication regarding timetables, assessments, and administrative processes can sometimes be unclear or slow. Additionally, more academic support during busy assessment periods and better organisation of feedback timelines would enhance the overall student experience.
Best aspects: The Building Surveying course at UWE Bristol has a strong practical focus that links well to industry practice. Coursework and case studies help develop professional skills, and teaching staff are generally supportive. The facilities are good, and Bristol is a great city with strong links to the built environment sector. Worst aspects / improvements: Assessment briefs and marking criteria could be clearer and more consistent across modules. More detailed and timely feedback would support learning, and additional site visits and guest lectures would further enhance the course.
One of the best parts of my university experience has been the supportive learning environment. The teachers are friendly, easy to approach, and genuinely willing to help, both with coursework and on a personal level. Classes are interesting and interactive, and I always feel comfortable asking questions and getting involved. The campus has a welcoming atmosphere, which makes it a nice place to study and grow.
The best part of studying International Business at UWE has been the practical, career-focused teaching, the chance to do placements and internships, and the diverse cohort that broadened my network and cultural understanding; the worst parts were bouts of homesickness, stressful visa and administrative paperwork, occasional unfair group project workloads, and the high cost of living in Bristol.
UWE Bristol offers a welcoming environment for international students, with strong support services, diverse communities, and practical, industry‑focused teaching that suits an International Business degree well. The city of Bristol adds to the appeal with its multicultural vibe and active business scene. However, the experience isn’t perfect—Bristol’s cost of living is high, the main Frenchay campus is far from the city centre, and transport can feel slow or crowded. As a large university, some students also find that administrative processes and personalised academic support can take time, but overall the environment is vibrant and opportunity‑rich.
18-24 years
Overall, my experience at the university has been very positive. The academic environment is supportive, with lecturers who are knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in students’ progress. Teaching is well-structured, resources are easily accessible, and there is strong academic support available when needed, especially during assessments. The campus has a welcoming atmosphere, modern facilities, and good study spaces that make learning comfortable. Student life is active and diverse, with plenty of opportunities to get involved and meet people from different backgrounds. However, there is still room for improvement. Some administrative processes can be slow, and communication between departments could be clearer at times. Additionally, certain student services could benefit from quicker response times during busy periods. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience has been rewarding, and the university provides a solid academic foundation along with a positive student community.
UWE Bristol has a really supportive environment. The lecturers are approachable and explain things clearly, and there are lots of resources like workshops, study support, and career advice that actually feel useful.

trong clinical placements UWE has solid links with NHS Trusts across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Somerset. You usually get a wide variety of placements (acute wards, community, mental health, GP, etc.), which really helps you figure out what kind of nurse you want to be. Early and frequent hands-on experience You’re in placement pretty early compared to some unis. It’s intense, but by the time you qualify you’re usually confident with core skills and real-world nursing pressures. Supportive lecturers (mostly) Many of the nursing lecturers are ex-nurses or still clinically active, so their teaching is practical, realistic, and very “this is what it’s actually like on a ward.” Good facilities The Glenside Campus has decent simulation labs and skills rooms. Practising scenarios before placement genuinely helps with confidence. Overall, the course fosters professional growth, resilience, and compassion, and supports students in becoming safe, skilled, and confident nurses ready to make a positive impact in healthcare.
One of the best aspects of my course is the blended learning approach, which combines in-class teaching, online resources, and practical sessions. This makes the content accessible and allows flexibility alongside placements. The hands-on teaching, particularly in skills labs and simulation sessions, is extremely valuable and helps link theory to real clinical practice. There is also regular contact with lecturers, many of whom have strong clinical backgrounds. They are approachable and willing to offer guidance, especially during skills sessions and when preparing for assessments. The course structure ensures early and ongoing placement experience, which builds confidence, professional skills, and a realistic understanding of nursing practice.
