Best - how supportive everyone is Worst - student social life is poor
As a disabled student, student support at Bath university has been beyond amazing. I've felt welcomed and included in every step of my academic journey thus far in spite of my conditions. In contrast, I've found the student union a little opaque at times which has lead to me interacting with them less than I think your average student would.
Student support is Bath's greatest strength - I was being bullied by my flatmates, and it took less than a week after an incident for various departments to coordinate to move me to a new flat, including finding people to help me with that, along with taking disciplinary action against the instigators. I feel very supported here and I am confident that when things go wrong the university will be able to help me. The only thing I can think to improve is the bus service, as it can be a little unreliable, and it is certainly necessary to use if you don't want to climb hills all day every day from the city.
Best - a lot of student support, great societies, great lecturers. Our course is changed very last minute with little notice or regard for how it affects us as students.
Excellent facilities for both laboratory (biochemistry, biomechanics and physiology modules) and field-based research. There was a range of placement opportunities available, with lots of support provided during the application process. Bath also has an extremely nice campus with lots of green space and places to study. Furthermore, the city is picturesque, while being surrounded by countryside One problem is that Bath is an expensive area, which can make budgeting difficult when finding houses for each year, along with signing up to different sport clubs or societies
My course is very well structured and the lecturers are second to none. I love the abundance of opportunities within the SU and societies and campus is well equipped. My worst part of uni is the bus. Commuting from Oldfield park took me over an hour last year
- The student sport/ facilities and how clubs, societies run. A student pass (pay annual) allows you to join any additional sports club for an additional £10, and you get to use the pool, athletics track for free. A huge advantage if you are sporty. The gym is also one of the best. -Placement year opportunities & the careers support team -lots of engineering student teams like TBH, TBRe, Team Bath Drones - The city itself is amazing. The look and fee of the university is not the best, somehow not as nice when compared to the city. Busses timing and the line during peak times could be better (but I guess that happens to all cities) Student housing in the city - most houses are still quite old but the rent is still high in comparison.
The community and people, the lectures are quite big and one on one support is lacking. Lecturers don't know students names and if students don't attend lectures, it almost seems like no one cares
The best aspects is the community at Bath and the departments especially psychology offer a lot of support to students. The worst could be the commute to campus as buses are not the most reliable and the campus could have some updating with buildings.
A beautiful and homely city to be living in. Better campus facilities like more shops or food/drink places would be nice but space is limited.
I like the campus aspect as everything is close by, and how their are many places to study. The gym is also an amazing facility. I also like the many places to eat and buy food, and everyone is friendly and welcoming. Security and the accomodation centre are also very helpful. My biggest complaint would be that there is no interhalls or interdepartmental netball, and I know there is for other sports, which is really frustrating as me and many of my friends would love to play netball in a proper team but did not make it into the university teams, so I would love if this became an option.
Quiet pods that are rentable/ bookable
Really like how the campus is separate to the city, so it feels like its own space and the facilities especially sports ones are great. At the same time the campus being on a steep hill is quite inconvenient as there are limited options to get to campus (bus, uber or walk).
Accomodation and facilites are good.
Bus to get there is tough. Very community vibe
The campus is really walkable and the buses to and from the city are very frequent and convenient, but they are a bit too pricey
Make the gym open 24/7
-The only thing that could make it better is if there were more places to sit in the library :) but to that I also add that the system for booking study rooms is easy and quick -The city is pricier than London but there are always deals on, especially on campus (munch box scheme) and on Student Beans/Unidays. -Nights out are definitely better at komedia from second year onwards (bridge is a bit dead in my opinion; labs is alright) (PS Good luck with the silverfish; a dehumidifier/bug spray is a must if you get them, but this is a likely thing at most unis. Also get your vaccines if you haven't already!

Good course. Nice place and nice people. But not enough space. Not sure that the lack of space can be improved though. And shorter wait times for student support
Interesting
Safe and nice location. Easy access to bigger cities if wanted, fairly easy access to the countryside too. It is a fairly expensive place to live and has lots of hills
My room had a good view and was close to where my lectures generally were
