In a good location, the city is great and my course is good. The sports facilities are a big plus, especially that you can use most of it for free. No real complaints, bar perhaps the lack of study space, and the dreary nature of some of the buildings on campus.
Best aspect: gold scholarship and bursaries Worst: finding friends
Scholarships have literally saved my life. Jobs are amazing. City is amazing. However, it's expensive like crazy. Housing is beyond unaffordable. The travel and public transport are ridiculous.
It's nice that it is a campus uni so for first year it's really good as everything you need is on campus, the price for food and rent is a bit expensive and transport takes quite a while during peak hours
Great Uni with a welcoming feel and great extra curricular activities
Student support is amazing, there's so much support, and they have so many events on that appeal to different ppl, with a massive focus on non-drinking events
It has been a great plac to meet people and great place to study
Studying here is genuinely a great experience because the environment feels supportive, welcoming, and academically stimulating. The teaching staff are approachable and clearly invested in helping students succeed, and the balance between lectures, practical sessions, and independent learning creates a structure that makes it easy to stay motivated. The sense of community is one of the strongest aspects—whether through course groups, societies, sports, or informal study networks, it’s easy to feel connected and supported. Facilities such as the modern labs, well-equipped library, quiet study areas, and online resources make the academic side engaging and accessible, while the campus itself is a comfortable, attractive place to spend long study days. There is also a strong emphasis on employability, with placement support, workshops, and career guidance that genuinely help students plan their next steps. That said, there are areas that could be improved to make the experience even better. During peak times, especially around exams, study spaces fill up quickly, and expanding quiet and group-work areas would make a big difference. Communication between certain modules or departments can sometimes feel inconsistent, so clearer coordination, particularly around deadlines, would help reduce unnecessary stress. Mental-health support is available, but faster access to counselling or wellbeing services would benefit many students. The cost of food and drink on campus can also be a barrier, and more affordable options would help ease financial pressure. Finally, better timetabling, fewer long gaps between classes, and extended library opening hours during assessment periods would make the overall learning experience even smoother. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to study, and with a few targeted improvements, it could become even more supportive and efficient for students.
It’s quite far from the centre and if you’re unwilling to walk then the bus fair is fairly pricy. However I love that the campus is secluded as it feels safer, especially with security roaming. I also love my course and the opportunities they offer here!
The staff is very helpful. Lots and lots of support. Not a huge fan of the study spaces. campus does look quite dreary.
The campus and local area is beautiful. Lots of student support for when you need it. Lots of public transport. Slightly out of the city so walking up the hill can be annoying sometimes but the views are lovely.
The library gym and campus are all excellent but i’m not a massive fan of how busy it can get since it is not the biggest campus
Best university ever! Such a close community feel and pretty campus
The university is a tight knit community, with lots of activities made available to our students - from sports to societies. During my 3 years here, I've felt very supported and was able to make the most out of my student experience by engaging with different students and extra-curriculars. The teaching quality is very high, and I appreciate both the academic and career aspects provided by the university!
Gorgeous city and pretty nice and green campus. Lovely Psychology building but undergraduates rarely get to go in. Access to multiple people for support.
The emphasis on placements at Bath is helping to visualise a professional life after graduation. Cross-talking between modules to avoid all deadlines falling at the same time.
The bus journey from the city is long and expensive; great sports and societies and support
