Struggle living away from home as I get very homesick, but the course is pretty good. We get a lot of creative freedom and also the facilities on offer help us. The accommodation is cheap and good in genral. But it is a little bit far from where I study.
Great experience so far with a few minor improvements. The lectures are great very inspiring and the facilities are really nice and modern, also cheap food is available at the cafes on campus. The accommodation is good £95 a week with all bills tv's included with help whenever we need.
Interactive course, lots of help available from our lecturers and also the union who are very helpful. The accommodation is pretty cheap, but it is in a bad area, althought the city is great for partying and also shopping. Would recommend.
It has definitely not been what I expected it to be, but I am glad I made the decision to come and study at Sheffield Hallam. The teachers are cool and the modules I am studying are interesting and different. Although the accommodation is not very good, it is in the middle of nowhere and the facilities are non exsitent.
I would not recommed coming to this University, the course is below poor and accommodation is sub standard. There is not much to shout about regarding this Univeristy.
It has been an adventure, I love the creativity on my course. The accommodation is good, central and cheap. There is a lot of support available as well.
Overall experience has been really good, the city is lovely, lots to do and see. Shopping, the cinema and also the clubbing is awesome. Really happy I chose to come here.
Pretty good, there is lots to do in the city and the course is teaching me everything that I would like to know. The facilties are on the whole good, although the lifts are terrible. Also the students union should be bigger and more active.
Sheffield hallam is an amazing uni with such a good atmosphere always around the uni campuses and around the city in general. It is the best out of all the unis in the uk for my course and there are only 11 which actually offer it. It has a good reputation for sport and that brings the whole uni together, especially sporting events like varsity which is a huge deal on the Hallam calendar. The music scene in Sheffield is insane if you find the right places and everyone is so friendly when you're out.
Really nice homely feeling all over campus, in the gym and during lectures. Cannot complain. Love the amount of sports and clubs that are available here too. The atmosphere at a lots of the bucs games is great and it shows good support from other Uni students
The uni was absolutely fantastic! I have never been so pleased with something. I spent my first year at Manchester and absolutely hated it. The accommodation was dreadfully grim. SHU is the perfect place for students without a doubt!
City is brilliant, the uni less so. Dont ever expect to get a single mark back on time, there feedback turn around is absolutely disgusting
very bad experience, teachers are discriminatory, can't even explain in words, student services are poor, no one listens, no one replies to emails, keep on running after one or another, 1000's of pounds went into drain, just facilities, buildings etc.... but most lecturers are below the standard, unprofessional, no ethics, proper Hippocrates, i had 4 bad years of experience in Sheffield hallam, i cried many times because of them, Specially a module leader called Alan houldcroft. one of the worst. reported university so many times but they are not bothered.
Have loved my time here, would fully recommend to friends
Sheffield Hallam is a great uni to come to. The uni has loads of facilities open for students to use,the library is 24 hours all week which is great for deadlines. It is right in the heart of the town center with loads of places to go and eat and study during your breaks. The student union or the hubs is great to go a study instead of going into the library and is cheap for drinks and food.
Great city and nice university. One disappointing thing is you don't get a lot for your tuition fees, literally just paying nearly 9 thousand pounds for power points.
My experience of sheffield hallam so far has been excellent. I have made so many new friends and I am having the time of my life. Sheffield hallam has given me the opportunity to do a study abroad semester which I am so excited about. I personally think the student union needs more promotion because compared to Sheffield University it seems like there is nothing going on!
Good uni, nice to meet like minded people. Facilities are good but some bit could be improved. Lectures could do with being a bit more lively.
It's okay, I haven't really learnt anything new. The timetables are really awkward, and I expected some of the work that I would be doing would be higher standard, hence it doesn't really prepare me for the professional world, since the point of being here is to build a portfolio.

Laboratory sessions are the best, they are very well maintained and have all the facilities we need to carry out our work, also the accommodation is not exspensive for what you get.
