Lockers- carrying bags with laptops hurt my shoulders hahaha
Couldn't travel far due to family comittments, bringing up three children alone. So had to go here.
Coming from a different country has been a huge challenge for me. Before I come here, I had an anxiety on whether I would be welcomed or not. However, those anxious feeling was merely a fear. I was glad that I had the opportunity to experience studying and living in a friendly country. The university also give me a reassured feelings when I arrived here. I was able to meet people from different backgrounds and learn to improve my socializing skills as well as confidence. I have tried many things that I wouldn't have thought I would do. The joy of living and studying abroad really do change you and put you outside of your comfort zone. It doesn't feel like you're excluded nor unwelcome because the university will immediately support you.
Don't go to hallam - it will waste your life. I really mean it - go somewhere with an actual city life and don't waste away in Sheffield/Winterfell - it really isn't worth anyones 3 years - get decent A levels and go somewhere with a decent system which actually educates the students instead of just trying to let the student glide through.
Everything is great, wonderful place to come and study, the help I receive on a regular basis is amazing, really feel good at this University. The city is great, Sheffield has so many sports facilities are it is really cheap as well.
The students union needs a lot of development, there is not much going on there, the accommodation is fairly priced and in a good location, near where we study and also the city centre.
Really enjoyed it so far, the accommodation varies depending on where you go. I stayed at central quay which was good, but expensive, especially for parking costs. The facilties on the whole are good, but I would say that some of the lecture theatres have very small desks.
The lecturers interact well on my course. The accommodation is good, I live in a house and it is more homely. The students union is great, lovely pub which is great for socialising.
Overall I am pretty happy here, the lecturers cover interesting topics on my course and they are generally really good. I feel they have given me the necessary skills to find work after University, I have already obtained a good placement with the help of the University.
Good fun, having a blast! Course is great, teaching me everything I want to know and the city is lovely.
Would rather be in University lectures and seminars more given the money that I have paid to be here. The accommodation I am currently in is terrible though, poor landlord who never fixes anything, not happy about that, but everything else is good on the whole.
Pretty good so far, we have a lot of creative freedom on the course and the facilities that are provided are generally good, but some tutors are not great which lets the University down. The accommodation is very good size, but a little bit expensive.
Good University, have not got much to complain about. The course and facilities give me everything I need to succeed on my course.
The accommodation cost more than the student loan I was given, which was very annoying. I do love Sheffield, good city, with lots to do. Also the University has a wonderful library.
The lifts should be improved in the main building, they make no sense. That is the only negative comment I have for what I have experienced so far. Good University in general.
Loving life in Sheffield, but my course could be improved, we do not have great facilities and some of the teaching is not great. Support is available though and I have some great friends here.
It has been great, I have made some really good friends that I now live with. The best thing about my course is that the lecturers are really understanding towards any issues we have. The facilities are all pretty good, but I wish there were more rehersal spaces for drama students.
I am very satisfied with my experience of Sheffield Hallam University. The course involves a lot of a pratical work, which is what I was looking for. The accommodation is cheap and in a great location, right near the city center which is great for socialising and partying.
Where I am living is good value for money, but not good for facilities, they are all pretty dated. The University could do with an upgrade for sure, for instance the better student union and also the sports facilities.

Overall I ve had a good uni experience. Most modules are interesting and well presented in a way that keeps us engaged but some other modules are straight up boring, not interesting in the slightest and very poorly presented.
This year was better than the previous one when it comes to in class learning. We mostly had in person lectures with a couple of online drop in sessions and 1 to 1s for feedback.
Very good accommodation. I ve lived here for 2 years now and I am going to live here in my 3rd year too. The rooms are quite spacious, even the smaller ones and they are quite modern. The internet is fast an reliable. I live in a twodio where I share the kitchen with another person. In my 1st year I ve had an amazing flatmate and I ve had a great time but in my 2nd year I ve had the worst flatmate that anyone could ever imagine. Nastiest human being known to man.
