Course work is well structured with progression in understanding of complex subjects. Lecturers are extremely supportive and nothing is ever too much for them. Lecturers are always checking in with you to ensure your well-being and course work and understanding is supported. Marjon has great facilities and accommodates all needs. The environment on campus is calming and a place that invites positivity and an eagerness to learn. Couldn't be happier and proud to be studying through Plymouth Marjon.

Very supportive uni with great teaching.
Small class sizes, friendly staff and lecturers who take time to make sure you are getting on with the course well, good facilities and space to be in.
It has got an amazing course with great teachers and a nice campus with lots of facilities
Uni halls are affordable but generic uni accomodation and could be nicer but isn't bad, campus is nice as it is not in the city it is all in one place and is very green rather than all boring concrete but is still close enough to shops and maccies, lecturers are good and have small class sizes so its more personalized, the student wellbeing is helpfull and easy to book into, the gym is good and the membership is cheap, have to take a bus into the city centre but it's only £6 for a return so not bad
Best - very supportive with additional needs and making sure that you are supported around placements. Worst - student life and that isn’t very highly rated
Inconvenient being out of city centre but i like how small and quiet it is here
University life at Plymouth Marjon University is a really positive experience, largely because of the strong sense of community and support across the campus. The smaller size of Marjon means students don’t feel like just a number; instead, it’s easier to build genuine relationships with lecturers and peers. Staff are approachable and take the time to get to know students, which makes asking for help feel far less intimidating. This creates a welcoming and encouraging environment where students can grow academically and personally.
The teacher they are very polite and they are always helpful wit us
I feel that I can access whatever support I need easily. I also feel safe on campus.
Student Union is very small. Not great food choices. Support could be much better.
It’s got plenty of areas to study including some areas that are quieter than others. Great place to study. Plenty of place to grab snacks and easy access for support if needed. Quad is nice place to sit for some air and easy enough to find your way around when you get used it it.
Pro's: > Small university where it is easy to be in contact consistently with lecture's > Easy to get to ( only by car) > there is lots of support if students need it and with being a small university the books a the library are all tailored towards the courses we have. Con's: > Often times staff higher up at marjon can feel as if they have no consideration regarding personal finances, we also get very little communication or say in many uni wide things such as parking or food. > Parking! Marjons rents out the car park to a private company and this year is worse than any others, the only choices are under 3 hours or the whole day which would be fine except Marjon timetable in four hour lectures leaving everyone with no choice but to for out over £5 each time they want to come in. I've seen this Model price students out of something into campus and that needs to be addressed. > Opportunity's and Money. Not only is it hard to quantify to what degree marjon costs students extra money through pure incompetence it is also completely evident as soon as a student starts their course. The problem is both Placements - where no financial support is given for travelling to a something that you must get to if a student does not want to fail. This sounds reasonable Until they give out placements in Torquey ( meaning two train journeys a day!) or placements for 5 days a week that are so far out that it requires 2 bus journeys, equalling again over £5 a day. This is the most Absurd part - when complaining about this issue all marjon students are effectively told to 'suck it up' and only through absolute pressure from students can this be resolved. Another problem is how sometimes a problem will take forever to be solved in a students life that marjon could easily fix but then as soon as a parent is involved Marjon suddenly Panic and get to fixing whatever it is. Students, especially first years are not treated fairly in this scenario and it develops into students who just left home begging their parents to send an email about the heating because the students own emails are being ignored. All in all for those not doing sports 24/7 Marjon is a below average uni that has some amazing lectures. Mine personally is amazing and was the biggest draw of the uni itself. But those who experience financial issue, Marjon will squeeze all the money you have out of you and then ignore any concern about it.
I have many things to say about Marjon and its all good! As its a lot of things I will bullet point it. . Location is far from city centre but it is next to public transport :) . My enrolment process was easy and stress free . my lecturers are fantastic, very down to earth and understanding. . I have never felt more listened to or supported by an organisation in my life . I am very busy so I do not have time for the student life aspects of the uni but from what I can tell it is amazing. - there is something for everyone . Student union is encouraged , maybe even required ? not sure on that . .There is always someone with the time to listen to you and help you with what you need !

The small and friendly campus is fantastic, as is the cohort size and access to facilities. It feels like a very positive learning environment.
Not easy to join/ know about societies, student nights. It would be nicer to have a stronger sense of community, rather than just going to uni for lectures. There is also limited facilities on site (like food).

Plymouth Marjon University is an excellent place to study. My favourite aspect of being a student here is the support from staff, both lecturers and the wider university team, who have made my experience the best it can be. I’ve always felt able to reach out, whether that’s talking to course leaders and lecturers or booking an appointment with Student Support or the Futures team. Marjon makes you feel part of a community, not just a number. When I need time to focus, I know that there is a place for me to go on campus. The library has always had spaces for me to study and feel productive. One area that could be improved is the facilities for smaller courses. While students in Sports, Health and Wellbeing, or Education courses benefit from expert resources, those of us on smaller programmes sometimes have fewer dedicated facilities. That said, I’ve never felt disadvantaged thanks to the amazing staff, who consistently go above and beyond to make my experience valuable. There have been highs and lows during my time at Marjon, but I’m proud to say that I am a Marjon student. It’s a university that truly values its students.
Very homely university, not too big and not too small.

At university, the learning environment is fantastic, with a strong sense of support and active engagement in lessons. Lecturers are approachable and always willing to help, creating a positive atmosphere where students feel encouraged to ask questions and share ideas. There are also many academic resources available, such as workshops, tutorials, and online materials, which help students succeed in their studies. The interactive nature of classes makes learning more enjoyable and effective, allowing students to develop critical thinking skills, build confidence, and stay motivated throughout their university experience.
The course content is well structured and relevant, covering a wide range of topics that help build both knowledge and practical skills. Lecturers deliver lessons to a high standard, explaining concepts clearly and employing engaging teaching methods that cater to different learning styles. The subject facilities are modern and well-equipped, providing students with access to the resources and technology needed to support their studies. In addition, tutor contact time is valuable and supportive, as tutors are approachable, provide helpful feedback, and are always available to offer guidance when needed.
