Everything I hoped it would be and more; it's been incredible. The people are amazing, the lecturers and lectures interesting, the town is picturesque and provides pretty much everything you need
I love it and don't want to leave Aber University. I have found the course educational stimulating and the staff are always there to offer advice. I have made life long friends and Aberystwyth will always hold a special place in my heart.

After only being here for 5 months, it has definitely been a life changer, not only academically and how I have matured through that, but equally having to adapt to a completely new culture that you are previously used to. Not only is keeping your fridge and freezer stocked a sometimes daily task, but you have to keep an eye on your washing, on your social life, on your finances, on everything our parents have had to do, we now have to do as well. It's sort of that step into the adult world, albeit surrounded by assistance, but still pretty much on your own. It's a culture that provides you with the guidance to live life to the full, and understand what it means to live.
Aberystwyth as a city is really pleasant, with an ambience not found in other cities, primarily with the sea on its doorstep set amongst a backdrop of rolling hills and sunny skies. It provides for a students every need, and has accessible facilities, with an efficient and effective bus system.
I'm personally part of the Aberystywth Harriers club, and the climbing society, both of which are very enthusiastic about meeting new people and teaching them about their preferred hobby. Amidst those clubs are hundreds of other societies and clubs to get involved in.
It's brilliant! I live in a student village consisting of around 200 houses housing 6 people in each, and it has a really friendly atmosphere with an upbeat community feel. The maintenance and accommodation team are not lax on their inspections, and are always willing to help with any conflict or problems within the house, be it people or utility, that may arise. The perfect place to settle into uni.
