Special Educational Needs, Disability and Inclusion BA (Hons)

BGU is a very small university with a community feel. The course sizes are small, with my class having 30 in joint honours and 12 in single honours. The SU are committed to the students and ensuring all of us are heard. Whilst BGU is a very small campus and broadly assessible, it falls behind on some areas. for example certain parts of the university don't have automatic or push button entry into the building, with no classrooms having automatic entry. There are also no toilets on campus with push button entry, all having heavy pull fire doors to get into them. There is level access into all buildings which is amazing, with most having some form of a lift to get into higher floors, although some of the lifts are hard to find or require continuous push button to get the lift to move. The campus has a lot of history, a lovely library and 2 cafes, one that sells starbucks drinks and serves hot food, the other is alice in wonderland themed selling hot drinks, sandwiches and cakes! Its a lovely university, and perfect for those wanting a smaller feel or for those who need more individualised education, it could just do with some disabled access upgrades to make it more accessible for all students.

I love the campus, it's so green and coming back there from town immediately feels safe and feels like home.
