I love how small the uni is and it helps to make it to much more comfortable place to live and study. Class sizes are small and most of the lecturers know you by your name rather than just being a student number. Studying a joint honours degree I find that sometimes all of my deadlines are very close together
As a mature student going back into education was daunting, yet the staff and student at BGU blew away my fears. On campus there is such a warm welcoming atmosphere. Classes are small which enable you to feel confident in sharing your views and asking questions. Staff are always at hand to answer any emails and support students the best they can.

The overall feel for the campus is great. I like that it is a small campus, therefore the student support is a lot more personal and easily accessible. The only thing I would change is the lack of seating. As a student that does not live on campus, at breaks/lunches it becomes difficult to find somewhere to sit due to the existing seating areas being quite small. During lunch time it gets particularly busy therefore on numerous occasions there has been nowhere to eat lunch.

overall i think the uni has done a brilliant job in a time of such uncertainty in supporting their students in any way they can, and although this isnt the uni experience i expected they have accommodated for us as best as possible.
The pandemic has put a real difficulty to enjoying uni as a whole but the course is great as well as the lectures. I’ve not been able to access the university study spaces or full facilities due to the pandemic but they seem good.
I've really loved it so far it's a very supportive environment for a mature student like myself and everything is all in one place. The amount of help on offer is really great

I love my university. It’s small enough so that you get all the help you need, but it’s big enough that if there’s people you don’t want to see you don’t have to. Having everything that could be needed on campus is a huge bonus and I can’t imagine having gone to a different uni.

Small uni so lack of sports facilities however for a uni that has a sports course you would expect a few more societies and options to play sport. Student Union is okay - student bar is not cheap, they “sponsor” some of the uni teams however unclear what they get from it. Societies can be expensive and poorly ran due to the lack of support financially and lack of facilities / coaches available.
Small amount of people on course so good contact time with lecturers - answer questions & clear up confusion easier than bigger classes Lack of “seminars” mostly lectures Practical is fun and relevant to module Sometimes teaching isn’t towards our assignment / relevant to half / most of the group
