Having visited many universities, ARU is most definitely at the top of the list. The hallways alone already give you a warm welcome and a 'safe place' feel. The lecture halls and classrooms provide anything a student could possibly need; great WiFi connection, good lighting, comfortable seating and plug sockets everywhere for all your electronic devices! The student union goes above and beyond to support students, provide useful information and make you feel at home. The facilities at ARU are more than a student could ask for; eatery with lots of food options for everyone, plenty of smaller food and drink cafes and lots of vending machines for snacks. I wish I could offer any improvement but fortunately, ARU offers more than students could dream of!

Great location being in the beautiful city of Cambridge. Facilities are good although the library could use an update and some areas of the university could do with a revamp aesthetically. Student life and union I would say are poor, personally I’ve only been in the SU building once and it wasn’t anything special to make me want to go back. I reached out to a club/ society once and never hear anything back. I think that the SU is in the wrong part of the uni potentially and that because there is no bar at ARU Cambridge social life and mingling doesn’t happen as much all round. The student support isn’t the best and I find the level of care to have dropped since Covid. There is a lot of not just doing their job attitude, and I’ll do the bare minimum if you know what I mean. Dyslexic support was great throughout tho!

Nursing (Adult) BSc (Hons)

University rating (4)

peterborough campus is small but lovely, they really do try and look after us all. the campus is still being built so sometimes we don't have a room at the moment. so we are sometimes going on teams, the lecturers are brilliant, we have a vibrant buzzing campus, with a very enthusiastic student union. the staff are supportive and go above and beyond to help us understand what we need to. and prepare us to enter the nursing workforce, I am proud to have studied at ARU peterborough, I wish they would do a nursing school badge (old fashioned style) we could buy when we graduate to wear proudly in our jobs like student nurses use to to do long ago. thank you for allowing this mature student a second chance to fulfill a lifelong ambition to become a registered nurse. thank you

I am an overseas student but I attend conferences in the UK at least once a year.It is a university with a global outlook, good career prospects and staff that are willing to help.I am happy for the feedback I have received so far and I think that I can engage more with professional life in the UK now.

Mechanical Engineering BEng (Hons)

It is a great place to study as there are lots of locations available, even at peak exam season there still are plenty of seats that are also comfortable, as well as having plugs in each to allow for longer study sessions

The level of support the university provides is extremely lacking from course leaders. Students constantly feel in the dark about course progression with no in course support. The campus looks nice.
