I really like my university but i would aay that there’s majority of indian specially south indian people. They are like a cult here and SU is currently ruled by them. They always celebrate their festivals with excite and arrange big events whereas i feel other religions festives are ignored. Moreover accommodation department is very good and helpful and they react and take action quickly but my only concern is that they should accommodate every student for their WHOLE FIRST YEAR and not just ONE TRIMESTER. Even though they contract till june but there should be an option to renew it till january for January starters.
Location is great but there is not enough facility and support for students
Most work is independent, seminars and lectures aren’t always informative or helpful. It would be nice if more funding and facilities were given to social sciences.
The best part of the university is that it is very welcoming and everyone is there to help you. You do not feel like you are alone as u got a lot of people that support you.
More accessible features such as the gym membership reduced not sat down for long periods Not mixing courses i.e. child & child dual with mh or adults for lectures/seminars - too many people so we don't learn much More skill based sessions
I think this is the best university . I am proud on my choice and very happy to spend rest 3 years in this uni.
I love how eco friendly it feels and nothing so far on improvements
A student can get all kinds of help whenever they want that's the most best part but the worst part is they don't accommodate you if you need accommodation in second or third year, also for January starters they get accommodation for 8 months only while for September starters they give them accommodation for one year. That's quite unfair.

As a commuting student, I like that my course can enable me to stay for the majority of the day and get the most out of the educational aspects of university life. I really enjoy my course and the lecturers are really knowledgeable. The study spaces are great and I feel the uni life suits me well. However the social side of university, I do struggle with since I have concerns about getting home using public transport and most events are held on days when I wouldn’t come into lectures and have to pay out more to get here. High living costs at my campus have stopped me from living on campus alongside a small loan but I wouldn’t want to stay on campus either way because of the possibility of getting bad roommates
Best- lots of opportunities for getting yourself out there, being encouraged to make friends, find part time employment and make an impact on society. Continuous emails from student society’s about networking opportunities, charity events, volunteering and so much more. A big variety of sports clubs, onsite gym, plenty of socialising areas. As a law student, the law clinic is especially the most impressive aspect, offering aspiring lawyers invaluable work experience in the legal field, working with real-life client cases, whilst being mentored by a qualified solicitor. ARUCPD also a very motivating aspect, as students are constantly being reminded that ARU wants them to succeed, gain employability skills and experience. Improvements - slightly expensive meals, furniture above the eatery in HEL building need replacing, sofas and cushions are worn down, torn and not pleasing, the upstairs area can be reworked to make students more comfortable
The best part of studying at ARU is how supportive and approachable the lecturers are. The campus has a friendly atmosphere and the study spaces make it easy to focus. What could be improved is the social side sometimes it’s hard to meet new people or get involved in events. More small group or relaxed activities would make it easier for students to connect.

It's facilities are very reliable especially the library
Great communication and help facilites

The best parts about university at ARU are the interaction between a tutor and a student and how they have everything planned out for you. The student union is also very good, and the layout of the campus is quite simple and easy to go around. The only thing I can think of as a con is the late classes, for example, 9am - 6pm, or maybe you start at 5pm and end at 6pm, which you have to go in for. Overall everything else is good about Aru, especially the location, right next to food spots like KFC, Pepes Piri Piri, etc.
Some subjects are very enjoyable, whilst other ones are extremely strict on what you write. The course has multiple areas of study and it’s a 50/50 chance you may like some you may not.
