The university has greatly aided me in improving my artistic abilities. It provides useful feedback, and there are numerous options to choose from.

The course is enjoyable, and once you get past the first year, you can figure out what you want to do. The tutors work hard to help students find the right path.

You get to meet new people, and there are plenty of places nearby to go exploring and having a life outside of studying.

Falmouth University is a great place to study. They seem to have thought of everything. The academic and personal support is superb. I have had contact with the Student Union and the financial department, both were very helpful. The University student platform is bursting with information regarding modules, tutors, learning materials, reading, lecture slides etc. The timetable is clear and easy to follow. There is a university newsletter plus the Student Union newsletter. The campus itself is extremely well equipped. There is plenty of parking. There are plenty of places to buy food & drink, such as cafes and a bar, plus there is a well stocked shop. There are ample toilets across the whole complex that are kept clean and well stocked with soap and toilet roll. There are endless study areas. The library is divided into three main areas, including one for individuals wanting to work in silence. Plus there are rooms and spaces all over, some with screens for meetings, all have power. The wifi connection is strong, everywhere I have been anyway. Staff are helpful and friendly. The School of Film and Television stores team members are extremely helpful and the range of equipment is incredible. The cinema is fantastic, a little cold, but I imagine that if it was warm, most people would fall asleep. Other classrooms I have been in are all in good condition and comfortable. The studios for practical sessions are a good size and well equipped. The editing classrooms are huge, very well equipped and comfortable. Overall, my experience so far has been exciting and very satisfying. I know I made the right choice in coming here.

My course is taught at the University with the exception of one masterclass a week, which is usually online and involves a guest speaker who could be anywhere in the country or abroad. Occasionally speakers will travel to the university. I am perfectly content with the various session hours. We have ample access to our tutors outside of lessons, either by email or in person, by booking 1:1 slots or attending open weekly meetings. There is also an academic support group plus lots of helpful information in the study hub (online).
