The lecturers are amazing, helpful and communication overall is very nice. There is a lot of support for student who are struggling either with their course or with mental health. There are a lot of good additional activities and societies to join after lectures. What I would recommend improving is figuring out how much work needs to be done and how much time students are given since there were occasions where the deadlines were too early considering how much work was given, but thankfully that got fixed. Also it would be great to see more help and assistance towards finding jobs and places to live because a lot of students are really struggling in that are to the point where some have to quit uni

The course hours are balanced and I don’t feel overworked. I still have enough free time for other activities. Lecturers are very good at communication and assistance, also being very friendly and respectful. However I do find that there isn’t a lot of course content that helps at broadening your views and skills, there could be more practice

Tidy and comfortable rooms. The location is amazing considering campus is only 1 minute away. The price is what is not really fair. If you live in a shared room you get very little space and both sides are not identical. It is not comfortable having to chose between a bed and a table since they flip from one to another so for the price of 420 per month it seems unfair. Some single rooms are massive and some are quite small so paying the same price of over 500 a month is not ideal. The smaller rooms should pay less. The kitchen is okay though. it is spacious and if anything breaks I found that it gets replaced quickly. There is one issue with the bathrooms however. Sometimes liquid gets stuck underneath the ground. It doesn’t happen everywhere but I lived in two different dorms and the first one had constant water trapped underneath.

Falmouth has a lovely vibrant campus, with plenty of outdoor space and lots of facilities that are easy to access! I really love how green it is in comparison to other Uni campuses, and it also has a great library :) I am not a very social student so I have found the location nice and peaceful for my studies. My one improvement would be on the travel options for students, as buses and trains are costly and don't run very reliably/often and most student housing is off campus or a neighbouring town (for Penryn students) I'd love to see an improvement in ease of travel!

Games courses are relatively new as a field of study, so I was open to the fact that they haven't been running for that long. I am studying concept art within my course. Here are some pros and cons : Pros: - One of the largest games courses so lots of good access to facilities and tech - Frequent industry guest lectures in 3rd year which is helpful - End of year Expo event that acts as a fake 'games convention' is very fun and a great opportunity to showcase work - I have felt encouraged to develop my personal skillset Cons: - poor module organisation as many changes are made often last minute - prioritisation on artists studying 3D disciplines - often hard to contact staff and sometimes they don't have answers - Course culture is very hostile towards art specialisms when working in team environments - team work allocation is managed poorly - most lectures are taught online, which is sometimes unhelpful

Falmouth town is very charming with lots of independent stores. I have heard the night life selection is average but I am not a partier so it works for me! Lots of cute cafes and stores, although the tourism to the area means cost of living can be quite high. It is easy to access the train system to visit other nearby towns as well.

I was able to stay in private accommodation first year, which was NOT my choice. The university accommodation allocation is incredibly biased and unorganised so be prepared with multiple plans when applying to housing. For the accommodation I did stay in, it was very nice and had lots of extra facilities like a gym and cinema room! Staff were pleasant and it is definitely worth the cost. Also located next to the train station so getting to Uni was easy.
