The teaching, contact time and classes qre fantastic, its such a joy to be in class always, however we don't have access to many facilities, eg, not being able to use costume or prop cupboards for our directed scenes, and having to pay alot of money to source our own.

Bruford in Sidcup has a gorgeous setting - we have a lake, you walk through a park to get there, theres lots of green spaces and old trees. There are lots of rehearsal spaces, and some of them are new enough to feel top standard. The tech departments have dedicated departments full of great tools and resources. Our library is full of everything theatre related you can think of, and the librarian can always order you a book you need if he doesn't have it. They've improved the café to make it cheaper and there be a bit more choice, which I appreciate. We have two unusual theatres - a black box and a theatre in the round. Theres also a cool design studio with a television screen backdrop, and another black box studio.
I'm on the student union this year and I think we're doing a good job of trying to put exciting events on (but sometimes students don't come and then they flop).
The teaching quality is generally excellent, and every course gets cool visiting professors and professionals who are so interesting to learn from.

I love my course! TSC FOR THE WIN
It works for me because I want to be more than just a performer - we get to learn about producing which is so interesting, and all about social justice movements - I've learnt soooo much and become so much more articulate about my beliefs and politics and my views on the world!! It has also just made me a better person. It's so inspiring to learn with and be taught by people who care about others and the state of the world.
We get such an amazing range of tutors and subjects - the only downside is sometimes I wish we got more time with each of them!
Our course leader is amazing at adapting the course to suit the cohort - she adds things that we ask for and that suit us as creatives, which I really appreciate. The Professor who leads on the academic side of things - omg I think they're the best teacher I've ever had - such fun and engaging lessons and prompts and resources, plus they clearly just really care about their research and their students.
Because we're a small course, we are not prioritised at the college in terms of rehearsal space, or even how much our shows are marketed, which sucks.
I would say contact hours are 15-20 hours a week, depending on the module. Third year that reduces, because theres more independent hours to do.
First year has a few online hours and mainly in person hours, second year is mainly in person unless someone is ill, and third year is more online but I think theyre changing that.

What do you think about the safety, condition, location and cost of your accommodation?
Its very expensive, but at least you get expensive accommodation quality - double bed, small numbers in a flat (6), en suite, 24 hour reception, washers dryers downstairs, big kitchens, double oven double fridge freezer.
It's literally next door to the station and some shops, 10 minute walk to the high street and 15 minute walk to campus. It's on lots of bus routes. 30 minutes to central London on the train. Direct bus to woolwich.
Perfect for first year.
