Best part is the facilities and campus, a great community with lots of opportunities. Worst part is the lack of rehearsal rooms and manner in which they find different courses. There seems to be a clear bias towards certain courses getting more funding than others but because the courses work collaboratively over the years eventually everyone suffered from one course not being prioritised.

Lack of rehearsal rooms makes personal rehearsal time sparse and hard to get. Course hours are good and being in everyday teaches a good work ethic after training.

Had to pay for washing machine use, even though rent and bills were already over £800 p/month. Best part was being in a collective place with all my classmates.

Rose Bruford is a great place to study due to the idyllic atmosphere of the campus as well as there being a great sense of community here. As an actor muso, we have access to a range of instruments that belong to the college as well as opportunity to learn new instruments. However, it is often difficult to practice in rooms as often there will be classes going on at the same time and it isn’t always easy to book out a room.

You feel that you definitely learn a vast range of skills and there’s so much opportunity to learn and to grow. There is a constant feeling of support and encouragement to play and explore. A great sense of ensemble is built within the course which is very important as actor musicians.

There is a lot of space which is really great as you don’t feel restricted in any way. However, often things may tend to break or stop working, but this is often dealt with.
