Good services available

Located on the beach, yes is does rain quite a bit but it’s a very friendly place to live. The university is organised and the library is always open! Facilities for my course are great, and we have specialist lecturers for topics such as law, business and essay writing aside from our usual tutors for the everyday modules. Whilst some of the buildings are looking a little dated on the outside, improvements are being made on the inside. Living within walking distance is ideal as I’m told the buses can be a bit tricky and there isn’t any allocated uni parking available. It’s generally a nice walk though!

Out practicals, anatomy lectures and about half of PPD have been in person and physiology and the rest of PPD have been online. Next semester I think we are majority in person. Practical is balanced with theory, which helps with different learning styles. Specialist tutors take lectures surrounding law, essay writing and specialist areas in physiology. This leaves the osteopathic tutors to teach their own specialist subjects rather than having to work their way through other areas. Practical rooms are available to practise in through the week when lectures aren’t taking place in them. Clinic is on site and we are starting observation in year 1.
