Swansea University is an amazing place to study due to the ongoing support from lecturers, students along with the events held. The campus is located on Mumbles road and looks out at the beach and sea which offers a sense of calmness and relaxation for students, especially around anxious or overwhelming times. Whenever support is required, many of the staff or students are willing to volunteer to help, along with point us in the direction where we can access further resources. The only suggestion majority of my fellow peers make is the prices for food, drinks or other necessities. The asking prices are sometimes not accommodating to the student life. Regardless, Swansea University is a blissful place to study, and everyone within the community enables it to be this way. I thoroughly enjoy the university as well as the life here, and I can’t wait to experience the next few years of my course!

The midwifery course in Swansea University is designed for students of all ages. The course is taught by the most encouraging and motivating group of lecturers which truly do make the challenging aspects a lot more enjoyable. This course has a mixture between online classes as well as in-person classes which allow all of us within the cohort to socialise along with learning in the comfort of our own environment. Also, placement is included on this course which has been phenomenal as I have been able to learn the theory before applying it to practice - this way of learning has suited my learning style massively. All of the lectures on the midwifery course are supportive, and ensure I know that I’m able to contact any of them if I have any concerns or queries. This reassures me well because certain incidents in the future could be upsetting, however because I have a solid support network, I feel confident in these events. There are no ways I can criticise this course due to the never ending support and opportunities which assist in expanding my knowledge and learning!
