Even though online learning was challenging, I was happy with the support I received. As much as I miss my friends and the social aspects of university life, I enjoyed the context taught this year and I believe my course is right for me. I am happy at my university and I'm very glad I picked this course! (I said no to my time at university being "value for money" as I still believe tuition fees should have been lowered nationally because of online learning. Despite this, I've been happy with the content taught during my course.)

I love the library on my main campus (Frenchay). The library is always clean and the computers and study spaces are great. There are many different restaurants on campus, and I believe they cater to most dietary requirements (good vegan options!) There are lifts and disabled toilets for accessibility. During the COVID-19 pandemic, hand sanitizer is displayed nearly everywhere, and mask-wearing required (unless exempt). I generally feel safe working in the library during the pandemic as sanitation stations are available and social distancing is well maintained. Free printing is available for students. The campuses also have some gender-neutral toilets which is a bonus!

The well-being and mental health support are amazing. I have used their counselling service and they have been very helpful and supportive of me this year. Kooth student (an online chat service) is also available through the university and it can be used if someone needs a chat.

I did most of my first year in-class and the entirety of my second year (plus the last month and a half of my first year) online. I love my course and my tutors are super lovely and helpful! They all put a lot of effort into getting to know us since day one and have remained very responsive and helpful even during the online teaching period. I know that I can approach them with any question and they are very responsive to emails and are keen to offer 1-1 meetings via Teams if I ever needed one! Even though online learning can be lonely and challenging, I believe my lecturers really did my best to support us through these difficult times.

In my third year, I will need to complete work experience as part of my module. I believe this will help me massively when it comes to gaining relevant work experience. Undergraduate internship schemes are also available.
