UWE has something for everyone and the general ethos of Bristol is lovely. The accommodation and price of things on campus does make you feel the uni is trying to wring money out of you and on same courses the value for your 9k+ tuition fee doesn't feel good. The union has many wonderful, friendly staff who are more than happy to help.

Library doesn't have enough places to work. Food is very expensive in uni run food places especially One Zone . They ask for feedback but don't give you an opportunity to talk about price on there systems. Can be a difficult to manoeuvre if you're disabled. (lifts broken, hilly ect)

There are lots of opportunities within the SU and the staff / elected officers seem to work very hard . I don't get involved because allot of it is focused around drinking, groups that should get more support, like identity societies , don't get much attention when i feel these should be some of the most important things a union should focus on.

Bristol is the best city in the UK.

Some are more active than others. Some are just used as an excuse to drink all the time - which can be isolating / intimidating . That being said, there are some really lovely people you can get to know in most of the societies going who work really hard. There is a wide range of societies and the union makes it easy to make your own.

That the staff are professional conservationists who work / have worked in the field who are very friendly, informal and there is a really good staff to student ratio. Our course is great - i really cannot think of anything negative to say .

There are lots of volunteering opportunities, you can learn about this at the volunteer fare the university hosts once a year. The staff are very good at helping you find placement work. They also host work fares to and have a variety of awards / qualifications / opportunities.

I would recommend any one trying to get a further education to strongly think about university of the west of England, all the lecturers are friendly and very approachable and the city life is one of the best in the UK.Uwe also has lots of local amenities such as gyms, cinemas and bowling plus loads more
