The level of teaching and support you get is what makes this a great place to study. The only negative is because the university isn’t very big it lacks on the social aspect however recently they have introduced an initiative to encourage students from different year groups to go out to a different location or Restuarant every so often to socialise.
Great location and very easily accessible both physically and online. Many resources available through the brightspace website and the library. Online communication between lecturer and student could be something to improve.
It has been okay. Its a shame that the university does not concentrate or look at making a more inclusive and surrounding environment. It feel very much like a place where you go to your lessons and then have to leave. There is no social environment, sporting etc All the things that actually you want from a university.
I am glad I went to uni in the end. Disappointed with the lack of university experience there is at the LIBF. I've tried to get involved but there is not a huge amount on offer apart from just turning up to lectures. I'm concerned with the lack support I have received so far.
I don't think I could have had a much better experience so far. I have just finished my first year of studies and I'm certain I wouldn't have rather gone elsewhere. In terms of a career focus, my experience as been unbeatable. I first arrived and received personal advice from the careers mentor, who then gave me personalised CV and cover letter mentoring. Alongside this, I attended network events which are posted on the university website and joined in on all the events happening on campus. There is also an opportunity to become a mentee of someone who is already in the industry and can give you additional guidance. One other aspect which stands out would be when I received an email telling me I had an interview, so I reached out to the careers mentor and asked for some advice and a mock interview. Thanks to the career teams hard work, I managed to secure an internship in my first year of university at State Street in corporate finance. In terms of academics, I have achieved a 1st in my first year, which I couldn't have done without the help of my lecturers. The fact that they have worked in the industry before means that they have unique experiences and insights into the topics they can share to make the subject more interesting. Overall, would highly recommend.

Great location for the University, just in the city centre close to transport and major banks. Facilities are great as well as student support whenever you need it.
Great to have lecturers who have previous/ current work experience in the field they are teaching. As well as guest speakers who help elevate student engagement.
