Love the uni, it's a great place to be a student. The course I'm doing is fantastic, the lecturers and course tutors are really good and overall I really enjoy it. City life is amazing, great night life but also something for everyone. Accommodation is similar to other unis, but by no means bad. Students rule in leeds.
Am studying medicine and Leeds, love the medsoc society and hockey society, both have so many socials and so many opportunities to meet a lot of people all round. Very nice, clean, fun accommodation which is super central. Don't enjoy my lectures, but its fine cause I just miss them!
University of Leeds is really good for people who want to be living in the heart of a thriving city, as well having a university with all its facilities in one big campus. The union and societies are also particularly good in providing so many different opportunities and things to get involved in.
I have been very impressed by my university experience at leeds so far. The lectures are interesting, the union is very helpful and the city itself is vibrant and exciting. My accommodation is also very comfortable and ideally situated right on campus.
I love every aspect of university life- course, sports, pubs and clubs are outstanding! The students' union is one of the highlights at Leeds and meets so many needs. The only negative comment I have is about the university accommodation. It is a bit dated and the wardens are extremely strict, so it is easy to get into trouble with the university for silly things such as noise.
University of Leeds is incredible for nightlife and there's always something to do. The union is a real strong point, giving students a voice and allowing us to shape our own university experience.
Good nights out and cheap, engineering is massive with lots of technology and a good timetable. everything is close enough to walk to.
The university has a lot of different courses with different departments. I think it does better and focuses more on the chemistry and engineering side of things although apparently languages are good here. They do a lot of year our in industry or abroad systems. They have a lack of space and kit in the art studios, however they do have some good things in 3D.The union has a lot of events and four places to eat.
Leeds uni is packed with different student societies and sports teams and there's loads of stuff for students to try out. The centre of town is 10 minutes walk away, which is great for exploring during the day and having a cheap way to getback home after a night out.
I absolutely adore this university! I was so worried about coming here because it's really far away from my home town, but I can 1000say that I have no regrets. The people are amazing, the place is always busy and entertaining, and the facilities (and nightclubs) are so much better than at home!
Student union at Leeds Uni is the best in the country and it shows! The facilities at Leeds are great - recently built gym and swimming pool complex and they are still building new stuff - a new library is under construction
Great city for student life. Small enough to do everything in 3 years but big enough to not do it all in 1. Too small for any longer than 3. Great buzz about the place with great social life and things to do. Nearby yorkshire dales are great to explore when feeling more adventurous.
Night life is especially good, lots of options for everyday. There are clubs for every sport and the gym is adequate.
Great facilities e.g. sports pitches and gym. Amazing variety of social activities from bowling to a range of nights out, and well run societies
Leeds is a great city to live in, with plenty to do day or night. The campus is pretty good and everythings really close by
Having been at another university for three years prior to this I am really impressed with the facilities on offer at Leeds. There is a wide range of course, each with access to the appropriate labs, technology or resources. Lots of the lecturers are leading the field in their research areas. THe social side is amazing, there is a huge number of societies to get involved in and the student union is awesome. Like really awesome.
Leeds Student Union is one of the best unions in the country. having undergone a large renovation it has improved vastly over the years. The Union has hosted many world class concerts and speakers, and the fact that the university can attract such big names to its venues is credit to the work that has been put into the union. The University offers a wide range of courses ranging frm the humanities, to the medical and dental courses. The university offers world class facilities and renowned lecturers, there are excellent employment and research opportunities to be had.
The clubs and societies are the best here. There are so many to choose from you are guaranteed to find one that you like! The best perk of living in university residence is the free gym membership where you can go to gym classes anytime of the day and the fitness suite at certain times of the day.The lectures are strange as though we are still in high school in that attendance is taken in some of the lectures, I fell that they don't treat us as adults to make our own decisions and spoon feed us information.
The University of Leeds is a massive university with great societies and facilities. It is based right in the middle of Leeds which makes it easy to get to from all areas of Leeds. One of Leeds biggest plus points are its student areas which are hyde park and Headingley which are both buzzing student communities which really make Leeds feel like your home. The biggest downfall Leeds had for me were the halls I stayed in, in my first year. I stayed in Leodis Halls which are a short walk from the campus and are very close to the city centre, although the facilities in the halls were good, it was very expensive and not very social at all. Having spent a lot of time in Boddington I found this a much better place to enjoy your first year of Uni as they have a lot of socials, events and a great sense of community. Overall Leeds is a great place to study and is a very friendly city with a cracking nightlife. I would never put any one off studying at Leeds.

This uni offers some great courses and has really good facilities! Leeds is also an amazing place to live, especially the night life.
