Leeds is a really good place to come to university. The people are friendly, I get lots of help on my course and there is so much to do in the city. Don't be worried if you find it confusing at first because the campus is really big, once you settle in you'll love it. Advice I would give to you when applying here would be to get good grades at A levels then work hard on your personal statement. If you get an interview be confident.
Make the most of your time at university from your first year! Get into lots of societies because you won't have a lot of time when your degree gets harder. When applying try to really sell yourself and tell the university why they should have you on their course and why you will be good at it.
When coming to university make sure you get involved from the beginning because it'll all go so quick! It might take some time to settle but don't be scared by the moving process. Leeds is a great city to be in. When applying to this university speak to people about their experience and make contacts. The admissions team for medicine are lovely and are always happy to help!
I love university and the student union! It's one of the most highly rated unions in the county! We have the best night called Fruity on a Friday there. University is fun but it is also really hard work and that side of it I find really different! Be prepared! Work hard to get a place, Leeds is a really popular place to study.
This university is amazing!! You'll have a lovely time, just don't be sad if it's not 24/7 because it is a lot of hard work doing medicine. You'll have your ups and downs, as it's still life after all! But this city makes me happy. If you have any questions about applying the admissions team are really helpful and happy to help. When preparing the application be sure to exploit all your contacts! Never be afraid to ask for help if you need it.
Leeds is an excellent place to be for your degree. For people moving away from home the accommodation is brilliant and very affordable. Don't worry about making new friends, you make so many really quickly. The city is vibrant and offers everything you need. The university itself offers lots of clubs and societies to choose from. Before coming make sure you research the course well, 'big' up yourself on and off paper for the application. If you know the course well you'll love it.
Get involved in societies and life at uni from the beginning, you will get out what you put in! Don't worry if you don't like it straight away. It can sometimes take a while to adjust to a new environment! Be positive about your course and that will shine through in your application.
The thing I like most about this uni is they have good student support and I always feel like I get a lot of help with my course. Medicine is difficult but I was told where I could seek help right from day one. There was lots of competition to get a place here, so try and make your personal statement stand out.
Take care when picking your accommodation, make sure you read everything properly and throughly so you make the right decision. I am at Liberty Dock and it's awful. It's far from uni so I have to bus to campus, unlike all my friends who just walk. A plus point of this uni is the bacon deal in the Worsley building cafe is absolutely spot on. Work hard to get a place here.
I think the course that I do (medicine) and the uni is worth coming to. I live at Liberty Dock, its alright, but quite far out. I'd prefer to live somewhere closer. The bathroom isn't very nice in this accommodation. To get a place here work really hard for your A levels, put effort into the application and remember its the climb.
I would recommend this uni to everyone, great facilities and location. Really good night life and music scene. If you want to come here I would advise that you work hard because it is worth it!
I really like Leeds uni because it has a big student culture and offers a lot for you to do outside of the course. It was really easy to settle here. Write a good personal statement and get good grades when applying here.
If you are picking chemistry as a course here you will really enjoy it. It's a lot of work but very interesting. You have to work hard for exams and be sure to keep on top of work. Advice I would give for getting a place is to show why you love the subject.
The university has a lot to offer. One thing I would like to say about my course is that it is not entirely sport science, it feels more like I am doing a biology course. Be careful if this is not what you want to be doing. So my advice would be to read through the course properly before picking it. Tips for getting a place would be get good grade like AAB and when writing your cover letter be really passionate about the course and why you want to do it.
The thing I like most about Leeds is it has such a great nightlife. Loads of different clubs to choose from every night of the week and there are even student nights over the weekend. The nights are so diverse and cater for a range of music taste. Tips for getting a place would be show you really love the course and you will be good at it.
I would rate this university well, great facilities, lots of sports and extracurricular activities for you to choose from. Campus is situated in a great location right in the city, so you can pretty much walk everywhere if you want to. A piece of advice I would give for interviews would be to communicate clearly, make eye contact and be confident.
Overall I would really rate this university highly, because it has lots of good facilities, the student union is great and it is everything you can ask for from a university. The shopping in this city is so good, which is something that's important for me! Work really hard in your a levels to get a place here!
The university campus is really pretty but it is so big and hard to navigate around when you first get here! The medical school building is quite old and I think they need to improve the women's toilet facilities. Tips of getting in would be to write a really good personal statement and do well at interview.
The campus is really nice and it is a great place to learn. I do think the university needs to have better facilities in the medical school as it is a really old building. For example things like the toilets or cafe could do with improving. Tips I would give you to get a place at this university is to work really hard and put lots of effort into prepping for your interview as this is really important!

In my first year I stayed in the Lupton halls of residence. They were pretty basic and had no real communal area so it was hard to social with my flat and have guests over! Apart from this I still really enjoyed staying there. In regards to the course, it is really hard work but great and I like the content of it. To get a place work hard academically, and practice your interview skills before attending the interview day.
