University of Huddersfield has a great atmosphere, the staff are always willing to help and the students union goes above and beyond to support any needs. There could be better support between some of the services at university as students find it difficult to know which services they can use if they need help. I feel as though this should be talked about more during the first couple of weeks so that students are aware of who they can turn to for support.
Overall great University Experience with lots of support from tutors.

The facilities are amazing. Especially in the design block, they remade the building a few years ago and it has everything you could ever want! The teaching is fantastic and the support is great. Honestly couldn’t have chosen a better university for me! The town doesn’t have an awful lot in it but it has everything you need. I’m not a city person so Huddersfield was just what I wanted/needed.

The lectures are all lovely, and the facilities are ok. The location is great for the train but parking is awful around it. The building itself is old and tired but maintained ok. There is limited cafes on site and during covid even when students were in they have been closed. The food is ok but not much variety. The library is well stocked and open late to stay and study.
Dislike. Emails were slow to respond and I was given no support and got a bad grade as a result. Was not allowed to appeal and now stuck with a dissatisfied score. Marking was way too harsh. Definitely not value for money esp when all facilities were limited and classes were all online.

Overall I've made the choice to transfer because the course is not built for the modern world of photography. The tutors can barely teach and not being shown how to use equipment is a big no no as this is basically all you pay for. If you want a small town with stuff to do and a good course go anywhere else I beg you, for your own skills and your mental health just don't go to Huddersfield.
It has been incredibly disappointing. I am gutted I decided to do a university course and believe I was mislead when given information about the podiatry course at Huddersfield. I would urge anyone considering Podiatry at Huddersfield to go elsewhere. The facilities and staff may appear marvellous however the course is not equipped to cope with the large numbers they accept onto the course. Studying Podiatry needs practical experience - unfortunately, you don't get this at Huddersfield.
Boring , bad timetable, messy syllables, small campus , at least build a pool pls , offer more trips , more small group teaching and more support for health care pathway foundation students , no more business n PLTS

Good experience it has been. The town is a little small, so you might get disappointed if you're after a big city craze. Facilities they provide us at uni are great. Many societies, good Students Union.
It's been pretty good. Lecturers are very helpful and the studies are quite flexible. Facilities at uni are very good and modern, helps loads for my course. Small but cosy town with big population of students.
It's great! Really enjoy living in this town, also the fact that I live at home is pretty helpful finance-wise. I find my course challenging but I get all needed support from my lecturers. I don't feel greatly prepared for finding a job though, I've got to apply to all placements myself, the uni helps with the cv and covering letter, provides a list of placements.
