The professors at Queen Mary are extremely supportive!
Professors and staff are more than happy with give advice and feedback on work and take student feedback into great consideration when adjusting modules. There are plenty of nice study spaces on campus and being next to a canal and nearby parks makes the atmosphere calm and peaceful despite it being in the centre of London. Being a short journey to central london make society socials super fun and gives access to a wide variety of activities without affecting the study spaces of the university. There are frequent events run by the SU and the university itself. Study spaces on campus can fill up quickly and become loud during busy days and the same is seen in social spaces making it harder for commuting students to stay on campus.
I think the univeristy facilities coud use improvement - the heating in part of the library was broken for about a month and the toilets always smell bad and have messes so need cleaning more. Campus is not somewhere I go often not the best feel. Student life in the BLSA has been great.
I think the teaching and research quality is very high, the location isn’t really too bad despite its reputation and there’s lots of nice cafes/restaurants in the area. The library is a really nice building and it has a nice atmosphere to study in.
Great
Best - lots of opportunities for students and the engineering building facilities are really good even though it looks really old from the outside Worst - uni is quite far from where I live
Great because you can just go straight to where you need to, its kind of compact and easy to get everywhere. Location is convenient for most people. Its also very inclusive. The only issues I have had, is the actual work, normally when assigned projects the actual assignment is very vague with the criteria for some modules, I get the idea of independency and doing your own research, but that is very difficult when your trying out new software.
The electronics labs are really good, never any shortages on components and everything is easy to use and the lecturers, lab demonstrators and lab technicians are always willing to help whenever they can. The only thing I’m not the biggest fan of is student life, most people commute (I also commute) so a lot of people dont really focus much on socialising, which isnt an issue but when it comes to having some downtime at uni where there isnt enough time to go home, it does get a bit lonely. Other than that the actual learning experience is really nice
Cozy campus with lovely team of staff.
Buildings could definitely be more modernised, teaching is actually really good and I would recommend for neuro. Many societies to be a part of.
Best- societies and the feeling of home within them. Everyone is accepting and inclusive of all people. Worst- lack of awareness during troubling times around the world.
There is such a lovely community for the students studying medicine. It would be nicer if there were a few more events that take place in the Mile End campus on the Whitechapel campus too!
Nicer toilets and study areas
The support and the environment here Is so welcoming and good . It helps me to be myself and grow . Everyone here supports each other and also how can I forget about canal side the best place .
There's loads of places to get help like advisors and tutors and help hours and its in nice place in London close to Westfield's. However, I commute, and almost every event is held from 6-8pm or on a day with no lessons, so I can't attend because I would have to get back very late or spend a lot of money and time travelling just for the event.
The location it’s a bit problematic because it’s not in central london for someone who lives there, per exemple in other universities in london like kcl they are close to other universities in this turns able to create connections with other students from other universities to create a good network and good connections in london, but beside from this it’s an excellent university every body has good energy
Best aspect is the food around the uni
I think the location and how it is well connected makes it easier for everyone to communicate well from whoever they’re coming and another thing is that the university could provide a little bit more help with guiding people where their lectures are!!

It is a research based university so we get to learn from the researchers themselves
I like the labs, but sometimes the instructions for the assignments for the modules are not clear enough
