Pretty good, location good, facilities could be better.
The university facilities are really good, especially the drop in sessions helps me to understand the concepts really well. All the teaching assistants are there to help you with anything you need, The course and the lecture notes are well structured.

The approach of student support could be better
The city is really nice and there are lots of places to go out. It’s almost all students. The campus is a bit spread out which can be annoying.

I have loved my university experience. I do really like the campus and bristol is a great city with all sorts to do with whatever your needs and hobbies are. However, often I get frustrated with the administration of the university. Getting marks back takes a long time, mental health resources are available but supply can’t meet demand and staff can be a bit hit or miss with whether they will help. Overall, I have loved bristol and my course and made great friends.
The study spaces are great and have lots of variety so perfect for when I need to silently work on my own or together with friends. Some of my seminars and lectures are not in the social sciences buildings which can make it difficult to find and sometimes difficult to get between when I don’t have much time.
Very poor experience. University completely out of touch with the needs of students or the demands of the job market. Lecturers more concerned with pushing their own research than actually teach you valuable skills and knowledge.
Bristol Uni care on the outside, but they are only there to protect their reputation. Do not expect genuine help or support from anyone. The course is good, but disappointing during covid times.
Enjoyed the experience as i remained in halls so had a good time with my flat. However, uni still expected a high standard when majority was online and concepts were therefore harder to understand. I found getting access to additional support tricky
loneliness in my flat and declining mental health w no help from the uni has ruined this year pretty much. academic side is adequate but especially difficult coping with covid. would not recommend unless you are basically an addict - drug central!

To be honest I never felt like anything more than a statistic while attending UOB. I struggled a lot in my first 2 years and found it extremely difficult to find any meaningful support without being passed around from one department to another each not knowing how to help. I have to say my tutor was very helpful within his capabilities which unfortunately were not solely enough to help me. So I extend a special thanks to him. Overall I found the core modules in this course very draining and not engaging at all. I would have preferred to study pure economics but due to one A level grade being sub par I was forced to accept Economics and Accounting instead. My third year modules were far more interesting as I was able to pick some of them out for myself. I especially enjoyed Organisational Crime and Corruption as well as Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability. My worst year was second year as I realize now that there was no additional support for individuals throughout the lockdown periods and this caused me to fall a long way behind in some modules. I recognize that it is my own responsibility to stay on top of all the material but I’m sure we pay over £9000 a year for more than just pre recorded lectures? A bit more personalized support would have gone a long way to making me feel like more than just another number to them. I was particularly disappointed in my third year by the Athletics and Cross Country clubs extreme stubbornness to refund me for a membership I did not use. I signed up before 3rd year began and forgot about it as I received no communication whatsoever about events or meet ups. It was only a few months after I had already started doing intra mural football that I realised I had paid for an Athletics membership I wasn’t using. I asked for a refund, no big deal right? Mistakes happen and it was no cost to them? Wrong! It took nearly 10 emails of begging and pleading and they outright refused to refund me?? £40 as well so not an insignificant amount for a student. That incident alone has still left me with a bitter taste for the culture and personality of this University. At least Bristol itself is a lovely city and I can have no complaints whatsoever about that or the people I met there.
First year was a lot of lectures at awkward times (early morning) for a first year student which my sleeping pattern certainly didn’t appreciate. I’m sure they could have had more understanding towards first years especially and realized that getting them out of bed for a 9am lecture would far more often than not result in insufficient sleep and poor productivity for the rest of the week. Read the room! Second year was almost all online with hardly any catching up or feedback unless you went out of your way to get it. Third year was my best year when I took what I learned from the first two years and realized that they weren’t going to help me unless I helped myself first and I found the experience a lot more engaging as a result. Helped by the fact that I was able to select some of my own modules.
