The staff/ lecturers are great. Very friendly, interactive and they get back to you quickly when you ask for help. It’s a beautiful location, just outside of Kingston town centre. Great accessibility to London. Downside is there not many clubs/ societies for students which is disappointing. This is something i really wish Kingston could add more of in the future. However, this is a really good uni overall. Would recommend.
Best. How easy it is to book room for group study and having the option to borrow laptops at uni to use during lectures. Worst. Not enough information is given about how societies are run. Maybe having an introduction day of all the societies would help.
Kingston University dose not have a car park for student which makes it really hard to drive there. Kingston University has a good support for student.
The faculty is quite small and there’s not enough opportunities for students to participate and improve their skills.

Best: student life is great. It also helps when it comes to studying, building relationships easily Worst: whilst playing sport the union was terrible. They made that experience stressful

Kingston University offers the support and amenities to make the campus feel like home. There's a wide range of help and resources available. However, I do wish the student union and the societies would promote more events to help students socialise and feel less lonely.

Not all services are obvious to students once they start. i.e. how to apply for support for struggling students.

It’s a great university and I haven’t had any problems so far. They have been very accommodating and understanding especially when I had an issue with student finance. I’ve enjoy my first year. My only issue would probably be accommodation pricing, which is to be expected in London but the schools prices are rising which is a bit worrysome.

Uni life at Kingston is just awesome. My lecturers and professors are enthusiastic and helpful. They wish to help all the students they have. Rich with diversity, I never feel out of place. We have great clubs and I am part of the LGBT+ society as well as the KU Jiu-Jitsu club. We also have communities for Creative Writing, Mental Health, Capoeira, Games and Anime, Indian, Korean students, etc. As an international student, as well as a queer person of colour, I feel that my identity is accepted and acknowledged. There is much to do apart from studies here. We have our gym, dance studios and an art studio where we can sell our artworks. We have great events on campus and you may even get some free stuff just by sharing a story on Instagram, etc. We recently had a baking sale as well as a thrift sale at the Penrhyn campus, where I felt elated to find a Calvin Klein coat for only £10! Not to mention, we have great student bars/cafes on each of our campuses like the Picton or the Knight's Park bar. We have a great library and a beautiful location at the very heart of Kingston upon Thames. Our buses that run from Mon-Fri, 7.45 am to 12 am, are free for us students and staff and connect our uni accommodations to the campuses, the town centre and Surbiton station. To help with employment, we have our Careers and Employability service as well as a platform known as Handshake. We also have various job opportunities on the campuses as well as accommodations which pay £9.50 - £12.50 per hour. The work has flexible hours and since it is at uni itself, you won't have to miss any of your lectures /workshops/club activities. As students or recent graduates, we have access to a free crowdfunding platform for our projects and business ideas known as the KU Backer. The annual KU Bright Ideas Competition, for all student/recent graduate ideas and projects provides its winners prizes of £250-£1000. Kingston University is a great place to earn your degree. It's fun, diverse, accepting and has many opportunities for you to develop your skills and also to grow as a person.

The best aspect is the facilities that are available. The new library has a lot of space, lots of computers, silent areas, group areas and bookable rooms. There are plenty of books and the staff are helpful. The area of Kingston is lovely and has access to green space and the river. It is very easy to get into central London and is quick and takes generally 20 mins.

The uni itself is a lovely building, with the library being a massive perk as its a great place to study. The campus has a great feel to it and it is hugely diverse in every aspect.

my experience overall was horrible. The course was unnecessarily stressful all the time, very competitive, and very few people were friendly or approachable in my course - just not a very nice environment to be in 20 hours a week. I went from having so much motivation and being positive to losing all my confidence and having no motivation whatsoever. They expect you to have the skills in interior design before you even start the course and there was barely any guidance on how to improve on these skills (and if there was, it was rushed). I had nothing in common with my flatmates and the course is just not good at all. I really expected more considering it’s meant to be the ‘best’ interior design course in the country.

The lecturers are very supportive and provide lots of additional resources to aid us in our studies.
We have many opportunities to interact with our classmates as well as with our teachers. We are always able to contact our lecturers if we have any queries.
