Better workshop tools/equipment/machines
The area of Kingston is beautiful with the river nearby and plenty of coffee shops to work in if you prefer to work outside of campus sometimes. The townhouse library at Penrhyn is a wonderful addition to the campus with 6 floors and quiet study areas, roof top cafe and balcony to sit on and work. The facilities at the library are great, with lifts to make it accessible for all students around the campus buildings. I would say that the library can get quite loud so it would be a bit nicer to have a bit more noise cancelling spaces or more control of noise levels to make the space better to work in. The university always have events on which are great and encourage students to get involved! The Kingston award is a great element of this where students are encourage to partake in activities to build their professional and personal development and transferable skills helping them become even more employable. It would be nice for more learning outside of campus to be encouraged for example small trips or educational days out to galleries or museums to make learning even more interesting . The university is a great place to study and there are many great things about the various facilities and campuses

Staying at Seething Wells halls have made it miserable, it’s a building site. So many things are faulty, the staff are rude, facilities that we were told to have all year have been taken away halfway through the year (parking). Very bad experience at Seething Wells.
The best university for gaining real life knowledge and scientific knowledge. Theoretical learning is backed by practicals here. Teachers are so helpful and kind. Facilities overall are very good.

Didn’t have that much of a uni life during my first year because of covid but second year has been great so far. However, I have been struggling to submit assignment on time because my laptop has broken and I don’t have money to replace it considering the fact that I’m not eligible for a public fund.

I love the facilities and workshops in KSA. Some staff are really welcoming and truly want to help envision the creativity in our projects with us. I love the access to Mac desktops and loanable laptops that we can use on campus. The Town House is literally the perfect place to study. It's such an asset to Kingston uni and I hope we can treasure it forever.
Best- The library is one of the best place to study and have fun. Worst- The lifts are always crowded.
The access to facilities and provision of education is very good. The focus on individuals could be improved.

I love Kingston University namely the School of Art campus in which I attend. Facilities are cutting edge & staff are informative, helpful & pleasant. Course could do with updating as we share assignment briefs with previous years which results in very similar work being produced. Finally, the price of food in the Canteen is ridiculously expensive with many students feeling overcharged & underwhelmed with portion sizes.
The library is a really nice place to study, it has a lovely atmosphere. They’re always some kind of sale going on where they sell either other art students work or vegan bakery items
It's location makes it feel quite open and not too crowded. Easy access for public transport, near Kingston town and a nice river walk. The town house is my favourite building. Its just really open and spacious. I like the layout although sometimes it's hard to find an available computer. There is a strong sustainability movement going on here and it feels good to be part of that. The tutors are helpful, supportive and passionate. Facilities seem good, could be slightly updated in some cases. The gym is quite small. Overall I enjoy this university.
Love the Town House building. Love the location - town is so near and plenty of places to eat out.

It is a friendly and safe space and the lecturers and staff are really helpful. Kingston Hill campus is a little dated but it has a community feel about it. I highly recommend this university.

Lot of students use devices like myself for many reasons but I've found you only find around one plug per lecture room. I am an apprentice so I find my student life is next to none I’m at uni from 9-9 one day a week and only have an hour for lunch and so I don’t get much time to test student life. I don’t believe the uni could do much but that’s why my score is so low. Overall very good but the access to lectures could be better. It’s shouldn’t just be learning in those 12 hours but should be able to access these lectures in our own time.

Kingston University overall is a good university. The best things about Kingston are the teaching help, quality of work and the location. The help from lecturers and professors is very good. They are eager to help and are friendly. The quality of the teaching is also good since all the lecturers/professors clearly create in depth resources for Comp Sci students to follow. The resources are extensive and are helpful. Kingston is also located in a nice area with good surroundings, buildings and architecture. The way it could be improved is if the lecturers would be more interactive with students or have more helpers around to talk to students more often. Talking to students about things other than their study life is very important and it would be good if there was more interaction between them. Kingston University is also a 'quiet' university and if there were more socialising between people it would be good for everyone. There isn't much mix between students, as I've noticed students only meet their friends or new people in their lectures or workshops and rarely converse with other people. It would be great if people would talk to new people more so organising more clubs or events to socialise would be very beneficial and make Kingston a better place to study.

The facilities are pretty good, but no one knows what we actually have or how to use it so occasionally a student has to come along and just figure it out.

It does feel like a university but it feels very much like a hub full of strangers. I lack the feeling of community when I’m on campus otherwise it is pretty good. The facilities are all up to date and new, the location is next to the city centre and is aesthetically pleasing to look at, the support for students is available and easy to access, the campus is very modern and feels like a university, but student life has been hard with Covid and I don’t see much change done with the union. I'd love to feel a better sense of community and for the union to be more active with the student population and regularly make changes.

The course I am on is really intergrated, well taught and friendly. I feel like Kingston Uni, not being on 1 campus doesnt necessarily make it the easiest place to meet people outside your studies unless joining a society.

Student life in a city university is quite limited. Depends on what you want but as someone who does sports, the culture isn't really there. Kingston Business school did give many opportunities.
A lot of the content I learnt at the workplace however the academic approach goes over the theory to a higher level of detail which would be difficult in the workplace
