Newcastle uni is an amazing place to study. It's in a great location as you're never far from town and it has plent to offer (including a good night life). The uni itself is brilliant with cozy and practicle study spaces in pretty much every building, a great library in an easy to find and access location, a really inclusive students union with plenty to offer and good support for students which is well advertised and easy to access. The uni offered accomodations are all great too and always have the friendliest staff. The uni (and accomodations) also have decent wifi though with so many people accessing it sometimes the signal can be a bit patchy or take a little longer than ususal to connect too.

My course is amazing. It's taught to an excelent standard and the lecturers are all very frienly and make sure we know when and where to talk to them if ever we had an issue. The uni also offers personal tutors we can speak too and peer mentors for the first semester to help students settle in and give advice (particularly when it comes to first exams). The uni courses are also divided into 'schools' and ours has a great common room area which is easy to find and has a lovely cozy vibe. The canvas site for all the modules is also really easy to use and get used to which makes finding this super easy.

The accomodation is great for first years as it's about 5 minutes from the main campus area and student union (which has both a co-op and wetherspoons in) and about 8 minutes from town. The accomodation also has plenty of security and makes it clear to students what number they should call for secturity if any issues should arise. The reception is also staffed with reaaly frienly people which makes collecting parcles super easy (parcels go to reception while post goes to the key-card accesed postboxes at the bottom of the building). The rooms are also a great size, have en suits (which are much bigger than expected) and have plenty of storage spaces. The flats are from 6-10 people and the kitches are a great size to accomodate all the people (I ended up in a flat of 10) and I've never had any issues at all with any of my flatmates. If you have any issues in the flat contacting maitinence is really easy and they show up in decent time and usualy fix the issue first time (if not the first then definitely the second). The wifi provided by the accomodation is also decent though can sometimes patchy and sometimes it can disconnect you but you're automatically connected a few seconds later so it usualy does'nt cause issues.

I get great support and find my studies really interesting. The lecturers are very passionate and knowledgeable. I spend most of my time in the Armstrong Building, which looks amazing (some other campus buildings do not). I'm sad I miss out on a lot of social aspects of uni, but I live at home and feel safer there.

Sometimes I've had a crisis and had to stay off sick, but I'm always able to catch up and inform as necessary. I love my course I want to stay here for longer than I'm allowed.
