I get great support and find my studies really interesting. The lecturers are very passionate and knowledgeable. I spend most of my time in the Armstrong Building, which looks amazing (some other campus buildings do not). I'm sad I miss out on a lot of social aspects of uni, but I live at home and feel safer there.

Sometimes I've had a crisis and had to stay off sick, but I'm always able to catch up and inform as necessary. I love my course I want to stay here for longer than I'm allowed.

Best: Lovely campus, in the heart of the city, which is beautiful. Lots of kind people on campus, and the ability to get stuck into lots of different activities with a whole range of people you wouldn't usually meet on your course. The Students' Union also has elected sabbatical officers who speak to university decision makers to represent the students, and they tend to make fairly good progress with their campaigns. Worst: PGR students aren't looked after as well as the UG and Masters students. There is starting to be a move towards sorting this out, however, which is promising.

Best: I have a lovely supervisory team who not only care about the work that I'm doing, but also about me as a person. The whole department are really lovely, and actively fight for the rights of PGR students alongside staff. Worst: Isolation (not this course specific, but PGR specific) and lack of office space for PGRs.
