Bangor is a good place to study. They offer a variety of courses, societies and sports to get involved in. There is always something going on outside of study, but help is always there when you need it for whatever it may be. The location is beautiful, a walkable place with not that many people is a dream for me.

Lectures and seminars for my course are spread out through the week, giving students time to study on their own and process information that isn't heavily loaded as lectures are usual an hour long. Professors are friendly and always open to chat after lectures, during seminars, or via email. It would be great to have modules that involve content outside of Europe, or even outside of the UK in general, but the past three semesters, there has always been something interesting to learn.

I stayed in halls for my first year in one of the cheapest accommodation. For being one of the cheapest, it was a good experience as each room was an ensuite. Kitchen was supplied with appliances I needed, as well as the staff coming in to clean and take the bins out. Random fire drills were not that fun, but necessary. The fact it was up a hill gave me some form of exercise and an amazing view of the mountains.

more integration into the community, including the wider community. the toilets in a lot of places need updating and modernising, especially as some of these are used for the open days. The student union needs to work harder on post graduate and non taught/researcher engagement.

my department as a whole often feels forgotten, and I have seen this throughout my entire academic career. I understand there are unavoidable cuts and financial elements however it shouldn't feel like a department is being forgotten about and not as actively promoted as other departments in the school.
