My university experience has been excellent. The subject is both fasincating and pushes you to work hard; I also went on some once-in-a-lifetime trips, excavating in both America and Kazakhstan. The lecturers are all really friendly and you never feel concerned about there not being someone to speak to.

Exeter's facilities are excellent!

Academic tutoring was excellent and feedback was both constructive and useful for improving in the future. I attempted to use the counselling service however after speaking to them on the phone they said they would call me back and sadly never did so I ended up using a private counselling service. It was a shame however I'm sure it wasn't deliberate; had it been another student facing a similar situation the outcome could well have been quite different however.

Representation is good and they generally spoke for the voice of the student body. Facilities were also good; compared to other University's the Student Union club is a bit disappointing but this is not too significant an issue.

Yes, very good location. Only a 5-10 minute walk from the accommodation blocks and 15 minutes from town centre

I would say that Exeter offers better options of societies and sports than does my current university where I am studying as a postgraduate. It is really encouraged in Exeter and there is something for everyone.

The course I was enrolled on was Joint Honours and so the two colleges (Humanities and Social Science) could have made the experience better for students by communicating across the college barrier. It seems that neither tutor would be able to offer advice on the other side of the course which is ashame and takes a lot of time to organise.

They have an excellent careers department. Notably their Pathways schemes are useful for securing training and an internship in an area of work that is of interest to you. The careerzone also holds great networking and training sessions for interviews etc. as well as providing excellent opportunities to travel as a University representative.

Best aspects are the location and the staff who seem genuinely interested in their subject and translate this in how they teach. Worst aspects are that there never seem to be enough study spaces at peak times and that some of the other students can ruin the experience.

Best aspects are the lecturers who are knowledgeable and passionate about their subject. Worst aspect is career uncertainty.

It is a really beautiful place to live with countryside very close by and great views over hills. The town centre is easily accessible and has a wide range of shops. It is more expensive in terms of housing and cost of living, however, and the bus system is very poor.

Best aspects are the space and the facilities which are clean and easy to access. Worst aspects are its location, it’s the furthest from the uni and at the bottom of a very steep hill
